Well, for what it's worth, I'm sticking with the Jersey cow. It may be a domesticated animal, less exciting than the exotic species, but the model itself is a superb representation, very true to life.

The Jersey cow was the one I was also deciding on. |

I think the Stegodon still have chances. The difference is not so big and people can change their vote until the last minute. I really don't know what's about this panda. In a community like STS it is not expectable to see such a common species winning even if it is a good model. Well, I thought the Papo standing tiger was an exception due to its unusual pose. Also, the 4 last known winners are all from Papo. I'm even considering to change the name of the forum to PTS-Forum.

I am surprised too. I even voted for an extinct animal to try to make the panda lose . Perhaps all Papo employees have to become STS members to vote for their company .

That's what I like with the STS figure of the year, we know what our forum is thinking and what we really are. I'm often surprised

The last comments for destroying Papo panda, ruined its position in the first place

Don't be alarmed, it's nothing to do with that. When the comment was made, Stegodon was just one vote away from tying with the panda. Since then there have been four additional votes, two of which went to Stegodon. No one has voted against the panda. It's often like that, last year it was a horse that was in first place, only to be overtaken by a bird in the last few days. That's life, and nothing's decided yet. |

It needs only 2 who voted for the Stegodon or any of the other animals to realise their mistake No just kidding, I love a bit of competition. It shows why we all are so passionate about our animals, our figures and our collections.

Is it the year of the ties? The panda also started very strong in the previous category stage and it ended in a tie with the aardvark. It shows the panda voters are fast and faithful.

I'm also quite surprised that the Panda is so popular. I have Schleich's "Bamboo - Panda" and I like him much more than this one. Not that I think it's a bad figure, it sure isn't but it doesn't seem like something overly special to me. My vote stays with my feline friend. Let's see who will win this year.

No, only one champion: The TNG Stegodon. It was my vote, which brings the victory. I wait until the last hour with it. Great, that this ugly panda doesn't win. _________________
