Today I'd like to introduce you to my smaller-scale collections. Beyond the 1/50 scale, I've collected a few animals that are very dear to me. I've grouped them into 4 series, even though they all live on the same floor: 1/60, 1/72, 1/87 and 1/115.
As usual, you can also have a look at my

First of all, the 1/60 scale, which is rarely used except for a few rare maquettes. The closest conventional scale is 1/64. I prefer 1/60 because it allows me to collect 20 animals instead of 9.

The brands Airfix and Atlantic were available in all toy shops at the time. Airfix made two boxes of zoo animals plus a Tarzan box. Although I no longer own any of these figures, this scale allows me to present the blue whale in good company. Papo's model is pretty good, despite the weird colours, and unfortunately I don't have the funds to find the 1/35 Kaiyodo Sofubi Blue whale.
