| Hi everyone,
First of all, I was wondering when can we know which Schleich come out in January 2012. I used to wait January for that (it was horrible to wait).
Some members said it should be around November. How can this happen? Is it officials from Schleich who tell you what come out next year? I'd love to know as early as possible (January is too far).
Second, I also asked myself the question what kind of animals should appear in 2012. I read somewhere that the Schleich company works with educators and pedagogues to create new figurines. They support the development of children through creativity in games and education about animal species (farmlife, wildlife, etc).
I love animals and rare species (I'd love to see a red panda) but I was wondering whether Schleich would take the risk or not to create rare species. On the one hand, it would allow children to discover new creatures and raise their interest. On the other hand, it is quite a risk for the company if the kids don't feel interested by the animal.
I still think a red panda would be great!

| Hi Marina, alas I don't think SCHLEICH is on the risky business, I don't believe they will do some unusual animals but... Ok, I will enjoy it if I'm wrong |

Your Red Panda wish may come true but not with Schleich.........another competitor is due to bring one out.

| I'm not sure about the red panda. Schleich created the wolverine (which is not a very well-known animal outide of America), same for the tapir. They also created the racoons, red panda and racoons are quite similar animals.
There might have chances to see a red panda the next years (hopefully :-) )

| I agree, back to the topic
I think (hope) one of the next horses:
- Akhal teke mare and foal - Appaloosa mare and foal - Camargue stallion - English wholeblood mare and foal - Fjord mare and foal - Lusitano mare and foal - Palamino mare and foal - Prewalski foal or stallion
I also hope some rabbits again, but I don't think so because this year there where four new rabbits... |

Mule family is impossible. Mules are hybrids between horse mare and donkey stallion, and therefore they are sterile. Can't wait to see stork, skunk, snowy owl, gorillas, new panda, and of course new elephants. _________________ ~Magda (formerly Mangalarga) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Blog | Facebook |
