| I really like stork, skunk, and dragon. Pelican's wings took a bit weird for me. I'm also not sure about elephants. Hedgehog disappointed me a lot... I might buy the girl with camera and mongrel dogs, I have to see more pics to decide. _________________ ~Magda (formerly Mangalarga) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Blog | Facebook

| Thanks Magada! :) I was excited with the hedgehog but now I'm not anymore. The general are not showing a big evolution but I see a better texture in the lepahnts, I guess! But those we must see in real. The skunk looks really nice, I love him! The stork I will buy anyway and the alpacas look really weird but I may be wrong! :) |

| Umm, doesnt the asian cow look almost exactly like the last one, exept the colors I like the alpackas, especially the female(?) The skunk, hedgehog and mongrell dogs... not good, at least not from just looking at the pics. But the stork looks realy good (but did they Have to use the exact samt pose as the last two ) |

| The pics are small but the alpacas are not so bad, the stork seems very fine and the pelican has got a.... Very unheard of pose . I don't know for the elephants, the Asian still have too big heads, maybe it is less true with the African... |

| I'm completely disappointed. Looking at the pics, my heart stays with the old llama, stork, pelican and elephants. The new ones are ok, but not over the top. Safari makes far better alpacas, elephantts, pelicans and skunks, and Papo far better farm-dogs. The bearded dragon is super cool! I will buy him, even though I have one from Bullyland already. The skunk stinks, literally. And the hedgehog is far too cartoonish. I am waiting to see them in real life to judge any further. |

| I like alpacas very much, and dragon and stork! Skunk is also not bad. :) I think elephants are too similar to previous version, only elephant calves are in more original poses. Pelican is in strange pose I also like one of new dogs (this bigger one) he resemble me my own dog which I had as a kid I'm especially happy for new alpacas family |

| The Pelican, it's boring because we already have one from Papo and Safari in the same pose. When I first saw it I thought, he looks good, but coming back again I'm not sure. I really like the stork, I know it's similar to the old one, but I never had the chance to buy the old version. Alpacas, there's something strange with them but as someone said, wait till we see the in real life. _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

Yeah, the Asian elephants look very much like the older ones, no new creative approach is seen... And the stork is not original too, but looks nice nevertheless. - HKHollinstone wrote:

I liked the Pelican and don't mind his pose, but my fervour faded when I saw his dimensions: 10 x 7,5 x 9 cm. It's too huge for my taste! Compare with the new gorilla, for example: 5,5 x 8 x 9 cm. The pelican is larger! Speaking of new elephants, they're slightly larger than the old ones, although only slightly: New African male: 19 x 11 x 10,5 cm / old African male: 16,3 x 10,7 x 10,2 cm New Asian male: 18 x 7 x 12 cm / old Asian male: 16,3 x 4,9 x 10,9 cm _________________ Owners of miniature zoos on shelves, unite! Actually their making elephant slightly taller and longer! I would like to see who will buy it first? For stork details is nice & Pelican maybe is ok! but not impress at all. Maybe as what you mentioned Papo and Safari had the same pose. On! Beard dragon look good ! |

| After I've seen now the pictures of the elephants, alpacas and the other animals, I've to say, there are the last proof of the poor, "new"quality of Schleich Animals...
The Alpacas looks juts nice, but the pose sof them-terrible.
The asian elephant bull is just a modified version of the prsent model, but the changes , espeiclaly the head, make its better than the present one.
The asian elephnat cow is the same model as it is now, justnow colured and alittle bit more detailed skin.
The calf is unbeliavable ugly and don't like like an asian elephant calf, maybe like a dead born calf ?
The African elephants are looking not really better than the asians, the bull is a littl ebit modified, with anew faca and change dposozion of the trunk, but the female and the calf are horrible.
So the Fighter elphant looks great, why not this new elephants ? What happend with Schleich ?
The hedgehog is unbelivable cute and ugly, it seems it was made as a little gimmik for a little girls magazine...
So 2012 is the most dissapointing year of Schleich since they have started to make the animals"more realistic". The only explanition is, they want to save money in production of new figures, so they have now much cheaper sculptors and the animals aren't look anymore so detailed as before.
On the other side, to sell more of them, they made them more cute and unrealistic, and only species with a good sell gurantee...
Welcome to the new Schleich Philosophy... |

| Like the stork and elephants--they seem to be more of a gray than brown. I am a little disappointed in the hedgehog as that is in Africa and that is my collection. I also wish they would do an African version of a stork. The elephants heads again seen a little big for their bodies, but like them. Sorry but the pelican reminds me of Safari LTD's. _________________ Shawn
