I'm not sure about this. It'd be interesting to hear real sales figures from Schleich, but that would be the most impressive MIRACLE - Bongo wrote:

Well, you've answered your question yourself: they made the Kudu again because it's one of the few left African animals attractive enough for common customers... _________________ Owners of miniature zoos on shelves, unite! My collector's blog

That's not a problem at all - you may satisfy your snow-leopard-hunger with the very nice figurine by CollectA. - noahandtheark wrote:

Needless to say! We're all here are already tired to include it in our wishlists and forecasts, year after year... - noahandtheark wrote:

100%!!! Although I'd prefer tree-dwelling monkeys, not baboons. - noahandtheark wrote:

Why not try Collecta and Mojo? _________________ Owners of miniature zoos on shelves, unite! My collector's blog

I don't know, Kir; aren't the bongo and sable two incredibly beautiful antelopes in their own right? I'm frankly surprised that Schleich hasn't attempted either. The Starlux WWF versions of these two are among the most striking animal figurines I have ever seen, but that's just an opinion, of course... :) I'd also be surprised to learn that Schleich place a priority on producing African species in place of others, as I'm not sure I see that as a decision-making priority for them, but hey, maybe I'm uninformed about that. |
