| I recently acquired the Papo zebu. I don't collect that line, but it is such a lovely figurine that I simply couldn't resist... If Schleich could make one of that quality, I would be over the moon, as they say! |

Speaking of Brazil, isn't it time Schleich introduced a capybara figurine? |

| At the playing cards from Schleich, there are photos from a black panther, a hawk and a porcupine. So i think that would be new figurines for 2012 |

But those are already available in the Bayala series. Maybe Schleich will start selling them separately? _________________ Owners of miniature zoos on shelves, unite! My collector's blog

I want this porcupine but it's too expensive for me as for now _________________ ~Magda (formerly Mangalarga) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Blog | Facebook |

By the way, speaking of the Snowy Owl possibility - Schleich has given another hint in their 2011 preview PDF, concerning birds: "We are going to approach the new developments in the World of Birds with a significant change in the body position in 2011. Giving them the opportunity of spreading their wings ready to fly will equip them with a much better play value and will make them more impressive."Doesn't it mean that Schleich (finally!) will expand their birds line-up? If we believe in this, and take into account the above mentioned expansion of the Polar World, there are big chances to see a polar bird by Schleich in 2012. And snowy owl seems to be the best candidate from marketing point of view - it's beautiful, recognizable and lives in the same biotopes as polar foxes. Other Arctic candidates have worse chances to my mind: snow geese look very much alike domestic ones, swans are already available, Canadian goose isn't well known to be exactly an Arctic bird... What do you think, friends? _________________ Owners of miniature zoos on shelves, unite! My collector's blog

That's interesting! What you've said sounds probable. It would be so great if they made a snowy owl - I also like the sound of a Canada Goose. _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

I'm agreed snowy owl will be probably (reading all your coments about their 2011 preview pdf) one of the new figures on 2012. Then maybe will be a new line of birds, the polar one (I think that not only animals) and they will go on with the hero's line (they're making a lot of merchandaising about them) In that case I don't think that they will do many changes or new items in other lines |
