Perhaps its best CollectA just scrap this model altogether.......besides we have 3 other antelopes coming out anyway. Better to keep collectors happy than unhappy I think...he he Very Happy

In my opinion, the move may be correct, bu to me it's a gnu startng with tha move, not already running for a while as it should be to act like that.
Exactly Wink
This model is trotting. Gnus most often either walk or gallop/canter (run). Trot is a gait between walking and running. I've checked some films with gnus on youtube, they definitely can trot :) I see nothing unnatural in this pose.

Yes, probably it's trotting but I think Roger didn't say that legs pose is not right Wink Razz

I don't understand why i didn't see this tread before, but at least i am same happy as most of us! cheers
I think this figurine is stunnig.
The way of movement, which was heavingly discussed before, is actually very natural, specially for a gnu!
And i am very critical about the pose or a kind of movement in an animal model, just ask Ana... Laughing Wink
Don't forget, that this animal is often called horseantelope, which resambles the way of moving, and the long white tail of course... Rolling Eyes
They actually really move a lot like horses indeed, in some of their ways of walking and running.
The tail could be longer, but i saw the lenght of the tail from up to the knees, down to the ground, so there are variations in this.
My only thought were the thivkness of the horns in the first place, but after seeing the pic the Rogerio did put here, somewhere before, i see that these have variations to.
So overall a great model, with nice detail! cheers
And i can't wait to see the other antelopes! bounce

Very cool figure indeed; I didn't even know such a creature existed until I saw this noble beast. Without a doubt, I must track down this animal.

Probably my favorite of CollectA’s antelopes
What’s your opinion on the CollectA black wildebeest
What antelopes CollectA should do for 2025

I think it is one of the most original idea Collecta ever realized. Such a rare animal in a "toy" form. I´m so glad I have it in my collection.

I´m still hoping for an Adax, Roan antelope, Gerenuk, Blesbok, Eland or Nyala (not mountain Nyala)...

I merged your topic into this old discussion about this model. When CollectA released it, antelopes were relatively rare in toy shape at this scale. They're not easy to manufacture since they are delicate creatures hard to get realistically with the round design of these safety tested toys and also because pvc sometimes soften too much and it is not easy to find a good balance to keep the figure stable.
So, CollectA was very bold, it's the most delicate of the gnu sculpts, if it was not enough they represented it in a very dynamic and iconic pose for a migratory beast.... and instead of the traditional blue gnu, they did a black wildebeest.
Five stars to this model and my most wanted antelopes are basically the same Martin listed.

I think they should do a blue wildebeest gemsbok topi
