About the hedgehog, I am afraid he needs your help badly. A hedgehog that small being out in daylight has probably lost his mom and is not yet able to fend for himself .
If you can find him again, take him indoors, put him in a large cardboard box, and feed him kitten-food and water. NO MILK !
Perhaps you can look on the net for help. Here in Denmark there is an association for helping hedgehogs, - so many mother-hedgehogs get killed in the traffic, and the babies have to weigh app 1,5 kg before they can manage without their mother.
But hurry, he is very vulnerable, any stray dog can hurt him or kill hom, he can`t yet defend himself !
We have found the little hedgehog again and his 4 brothers and sisters They are sitting in two boxes and we have weigthed them, all of them were 100 gram... They're 16 days old and Daphne has called the animal ambulance and comming up the wil pick up the baby hedgehogs ^^ |

| That is just wonderful Thankyou for telling So they liked worms Then they are not ill, only a bit starved. I am sure they will grow very fast in the competent hands of the animal rescue people. They will check them for fleas, scratches or infections, and make sure they get lots of food and the vitamins and minerals they need . When they are app 2 kg, they are big enough to go back to nature and become fat before their winter sleep. It must be both sad and great to set them free What a lovely , great history! You deserve a great thankyou from Mother Nature |

| Ohhhhhh Two ( three ) of the most wonderful animals I know I LOVE red cardinals, - whenever I can, I beg "the brands" to make a pair And reindeer !!! Where would Santa be without them How big are they ? I remeber the first time I saw some in real life, I was surprised that they were not very large, - but sometimes when seing pictures of them with people they look larger Perhaps their keepers are not very tall, - or the one I saw were very small ? Thankyou for wonderful pictures, how great that this subject has began again |

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here is one picture that I found showing the size of the reindeer. Not very big animals. In the summer they are brown and hard to be seen beside the road and in the summer this town is full of reindeers!!! |

| We have a lot of Canadian Geese around here, but there is one in particular that has been making regular visits to my horses pasture. I think he (she?) is quite lovely and I thought I'd share some photos that I took today. :) Sneaking up on him.... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Think perhaps I got too close. Talk about a look of warning! | Thank you Kelsey and Susanne!
You have to be very careful around the geese! I made sure there was no nest around before I started stalking it with the camera. If they are guarding eggs they will attack you! When I saw that look through the lens of my camera I thought I was in trouble. lol.
Now to stalk the wild turkeys! We have a couple of big gobblers that are showing off for the female turkeys. I've never seen one all puffed up in real life before until now. It is breathtaking!!! But so far I am unsuccessful in getting them on camera. They are much more shy and skittish than a goose!

| When we went to the zoo and sat down to eat we were bombarded by the geese! They would sit their and wait for you to hand them something(which we tried hard not too, but they will snatch it from your hands!). As we were leaving one time, this one goose was following us and he looked dehydrated. We had to help him so we gave him some water. YES you have to be very careful around them. _________________ Kelsey [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." ~Anatole France |
