| I've asked James if they will make some dogs and domestic cats in 2013 today and he said that Mojo plan to make at least one domestic cat and 3 dog breeds for next year. He asked me which dogs I would like to see so I give the question to you guys: Any suggestions for breeds? :) :) _________________ Vivien

| In the US the most popular dog breeds are Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd, Yorkshire Terrier, and Beagle.
I think a Lab and German Shepherd are always a safe bet for dogs. Yorkshire Terrier is actually interesting as a possible choice. Schleich has never done one, Bullyland and CollectA have. Bully's is better I think but there is room there for an ever better one. _________________ Tim :) ToyAnimal.info - The Toy Animal Collecting Wiki Animoblog Animobil.info Playmobil Animals

| I would vote for 1) Saluki..preferably at least two different colours 2) Scottish Deerhound 3) Whippet _________________ SUSANNE

I'm not going to be collecting dogs but I'd like to see a German shepherd from them. An old aquiantance of mine has or had two Irish wolfhounds. Wow! What a dog! One gave me a little nudge with his head and nearly knocked me over! _________________ More pictures of my Collection... https://toyanimalmuseum.blogspot.com ...Latest update 08/03/20

| Ohh, yes. Irish Wolfhounds are gorgeous The only thing I am worried about is that they have bred them so huge, that they aren`t healthy any more. The average length of life in many breeding lines only 5 years One reason for early death is that their rib cage is too large, so their stomach can turn round...pooooor doggies That is one of the reasons I prefer one of their ancestors : The Scottish Wolfhound ! A large, rough-haired hound with tremendous power, but still much more elegant and healthy _________________ SUSANNE |

| Instead of cats, they should make Tasmanian Devil My favourite dogs: Dingo Anatolian Shepherd and our Slovenian breed: Karst Shepherd (link to the FB page): https://www.facebook.com/pages/kra%C5%A1ki-ov%C4%8Dar-Karst-Shepherd-DLVKOS/143887869021526?sk=wall _________________ Bojan

| Whatever dogs they choose to make, I only ask that they all be made in the same size ratio so that when you have a Scottish Wolfhound beside a Corgi, there is a realistic difference. That and when they paint them, the artists do excellent work on the shading and not make them look like they have spots or stripes when they aren't meant to look like that... _________________ Sue |

| I agree very much with your comments about ratio. It would be nice in 1:12 so they could be put with the old Schleich dogs. I am very unhappy with Schleich for abandoning the scale after so many years. _________________ Tim :) ToyAnimal.info - The Toy Animal Collecting Wiki Animoblog Animobil.info Playmobil Animals

Tim, it looks I am the only one defeating the 1:20 scale choice for dogs! Human figures are aproximatly in 1:20 scale, horses are also not far from these sizes and I suppose that farms, barns and these material is also in 1:20 scale. So why not to put the dogs in the same scale and correct something that was wrong? I don't collect them so I understand that it is uninteresting to put side by side 2 dogs from the same breed of different scales but I think Schleich made a correct decision and I support! About Mojo we must understand what is their strategy and accept their choice for a scale. Mojo horses are religiously done in 1:20 scale, farm animals I don't have idea. No human, buildings or accessories, so I think they should fit with farm figures, unless Mojo wants to start a dogs range in classic scale to fit with dollhouse brands! |

| Whatever dogs breeds are made, I would prefer them to look as close to correct AKC standard/type. Just my preference.

| FKC : American Kennel Club I just googeled FCI and got this message : The Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) informs all its members and contract partners that it holds no official relations with the Federación Canina Internacional and its members and that it does not recognise this FederaciónBeware of cheap copies _________________ SUSANNE |

| I'd like to see a poodle figure. Possibly a non-stereotypic one...
The other two could be pug and a miniature dachshund... |

That is so true,Susanne! However I think what you mean is no Scottish Wolfhound but a Scottish Deerhound. An acquaintance of mine has got two of those dogs and has the same problems with Stomach Rotation. - Deseo wrote:
