| I have added a few details, smaller plants and little bits of detail that will make the close up photos more interesting. I put some cobra lilies in the banks, added the beginnings of the plants that will be on the base of the background like matchstick flowers, and I began to put birds in their spots. I have several different species that I have made for the Indian diorama and I thought you might like to see some of them in their new homes. I put up a nest with a pair of painted storks, there is a second pair in the fig that is growing up the rockwork, a pair of purple swamp hens and a single male red headed pochard. The pair of treepies is still up in the fig as well, I have actually glued them to the branches but I could remove them if I wanted to. Here are the new photos... | It has been a few days since I've posted anything but late in the evenings I have been using my modeling as a way to relax after the day. I have accomplished quite a bit, with only one corner to finish painting and detailing. Here are some of the most recent photos, off to the right is all I have left to work on, first paint and then the details such as stones, brambles and undercoat or deadfall. Deadfall is the term for the fallen and decaying leaves and branches that collect on the forest [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

You have to thank Harriet for that, my idea was a cub playing while the mother looked on, then I thought the cub should be pestering her. Harriet came up with the sketches of the cub using it's mother to lean on and it was perfect! The other two are from Anna, the nilgia is on of my favorite antelope and the pair she did are perfect, I'll get some shots of the female and post them soon. |

| They look wonderful! I love the one of the Gaur, must be exciting placing all the animals on the diorama for the first time and arranging them all. _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*
