| This ones for Roger Basic Facts Lourinhanosaurus was a Portuguese theropod dinosaur who lived during the late Jurassic period, and is notable for being the first Theropod known to have swallowed Gastroliths on purpose, instead of as part of a herbivore meal. There are also Eggs and Embryos that are believed to be from this dinosaur as well. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Very interesting info This Dino (Lourinhanosaurus) looks quite nicely sculpted but I would see him in different colors or pattern :) _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection

| Ah, a Portuguese dino for a Portuguese croc! I have a huge admiration for this dinosaur, when young people is complaining here in Portugal that things are very hard on our days, some old people immediatly replies. It was even worst some decades ago. So, following this thought, I am impressed how this creature could live in this country many millions years ago? |

| Basic Facts Herrerasaurus, was among the first dinosaurs on earth. For a while, it was thought to have been the first Theropod dinosaur in the Saurischian order. However, Studies on its Skeleton have shown that it was a distinct type of dinosaur that Separates them From the Theropods, this information is also applied with its cousins Eoraptor and Staurikosaurus [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This guy with a gun will be used for comparisons with cretures that were smaller in real life. |

| hylaeosaurus was one of the dinosaurs that was used to define the word Dinosaur back in 1842. It is know from a single fossil that sows its front Torso, and a piece of the head. However, much more of its shape still remains a mystery to this day, as the original Skeleton still remains un prepared in its Rocky Matrix at the Natural History Musem in London. Thanks to further discoverys, it is now believed to be a Nodasaur, related to Polocanthus. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Thanks for the walkaround Takama, Herrerasaurus is indeed still a mystery, basal theropod ? Saurischian ? This animal is old, 230 million years ago... A time when dinosaurs were even not ruling the earth - SUSANNE wrote:

I guess it was clever enough to eat other reptiles all life long |

| Some dinosaurs, with complete skeletons, has changed so much during these years. Those like this one where a little part is known, are surely very far from what these animals were in reality. That is paleoart in pvc shape. The most interesting is that how less known is a fossile, more interesting is for me to see the interpretation behind the few information available, so, in theory, there is a huge chance that we are seeing very inaccurate animals. While in extant and known animals I appreciate the accuracy and realism, in these figures I enjoy the creativity. . I don't want to say that I enjoy mistakes from known parts, only to see what a sculptor can do with unknown parts. If it is very interesting to compare an old velociraptor replica with a recent one, imagine if another company makes this creature in future. |

| If it was not your text I would probably think it was one more theropod. Now I know it is still a controversial creature and very old, from Ladinian periode, what a beautiful time to live, surely full of ladies! Here is an example of another very interesting figure! |

| Subject: Pteranodon Standerd and Deluxe Walkaround. Thu Feb 14, 2013 5:34 pm | |
| Pteranodon is the most commonly referenced Pterosaur as it was Wrongfully portrayed with teeth and called a Pterodactyl. In reality, Pteranodon was Toothless, and Pterodactyl refers to a completely different species call Pterodactylus. It is also portrayed with the ability to pick things up with its feet, but this is impossible because the feet lack an opposable thumb. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Subject: Megalosaurus Walkaround. Thu Feb 14, 2013 7:29 pm | |
| This is the very first dinosaur ever described, however very little is known about it. All thats found was a lower Jaw bone, and a piece of a femur. Despite this, Scientists think that it was related to some other dinosaurs that were proposed to be Megalosaurids, such as Eustreptospondylus and Torvosaurus. In earlier years, Megalosaurus was tread as a Waste Basket Taxxon, which means several dinosaurs have been assigned as species to the genus Megalosaurus, and were eventually proven to be completely different. | It is the kind of limits with prehistoric models, a little is really known about the specie and the sculptor made a model based on artists interpretation or traditional behaviour. So it is a kind of chinasaur with at least wrong hands position. CollectA is also able to produce more beautiful or accurate models than this one... Nevertheless, thank you for sharing the pics Takama, you are making a very good job here |
