This Brown bear is a CLAIRET, it looks a bit like the STARLUX 53 and was also used as a Polar bear.

Welcome Thierry! You are presenting all these magnific figures in a very nice way. I love when people post pictures and say what animals and brands are pictured.

Thank you for posting your collection Thierry. 

Do you know if the Clairet African elephants are the same, the grey and the white one with the trunk sticking straight out.  Though they are in the same pose to me they look very slightly different, the white one has a shorter neck and slightly different face?  Or maybe it is just the angle of the photo?

Andrew, it is the same model, both elephants were available in grey or Ivory.

Thank you for the comparison pictures Thierry.  I can see the difference which you mentioned, I can now see that the abdomen is slightly different from the top view along with a few other very small details.

These pictures are helpful as I hope to add this model to my collection one day.

Philippe Guillot is a great french collector of Starlux. He displayed his collection in Coulounieix-Chamiers in 2010.

I'm a big fan of Starlux in particular, and many of your figures have me drooling. The Kudu, Gnu, Bison, and Fox are wonderful and high up on my wish list. Thank you for sharing these photos!
