| I read some of the discussion about the projected Carnegie Tyrannosaurus over at the Dinotoyblog forum. Most members there seem pretty down on the model, but I have to say that, at least from the one picture we have available, I love it! I do wish that their Theropods were not in tripod stance, but I understand the difficulties and I do appreciate that sculptor, despite having the tail touch the ground, doesn't give them a "tail-dragging" posture. Other than the Kinto/Favorite T-rex's, this has the potential to be one of my very favorites. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

They may do a snow leopard. I hope they do :) But there are still a number of animals they could make that would certainly fit the "Wildlife Wonders" bill. They have yet to do a Jaguar, Leopard(other that the black leopard), Grizzly Bear, Cougar, Chimpanzee or Kangaroo. Personally, I'd love to see them do a Mandrill, though I'm afraid they probably won't. It's got to be the most iconic face in the whole animal kingdom! They may eventually do a Moose or an American Bison. Maybe even a Camel or Ostrich. But my guess is that we'll either see a Snow Leopard, Chimpanzee, Grizzly Bear or Kangaroo. I guess we'll know soon enough! |

It's a Black Jaguar in Wildlife Wonders. They have yet to do any form of Leopard. |

| Not to sound like I'm complaining, but I can understand Safari making a T-rex for their 25th Anniversary with the Carnegie, but how many T-rex's do we need between the Carnegie and Wild Safari collections? The Carnegie will now have three and the Wild Safari currently has three if you don't count the baby. I just don't think more than at least 2 are needed.
I was hoping that maybe they would release something for their anniversary with the Monterey Bay Aquarium, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. |

Apparently that's not up to Safari to decide. The Monterey Bay Aquarium decides what, if any, figures get released into or retired out of the collection. Safari works pretty closely with MBA, though, so they never rule out additions to the MBA collection, and I think they did want to do something for the anniversary, but that doesn't mean that MBA wants to. This year's lineup has some nice Sealife additions, though, some have been leaked, others, not. |

| Yes I do know that. I would think MBA would want to add a new figure, especially since most collectors already have what's in the collection plus retired items. I'm hoping the new un-leaked sealife additions aren't something we've already seen. - sphyrna18 wrote:

Enjoy Eh, thanks Takama! This is what I call a balanced range mixing very common animals with some very good surprises. I think Wings of the World with anhinga and raven, North American with pecary and gilla monster dinos and sealife are very good. For wildlife I only hope they are good as previous Indian rhino, mainly if the black rhino keeps their good tradition of making good rhinos. Here goes the list. | That's exciting! I like the wolf and the bison a lot, amongst others. Great news though! ok, here are my initial thoughts on the figures I am interested in: The horses aren't my cup of tea (mustangs don'ts usually have curly manes etc. and they are repaints of the Palomino mare, the appaloosa mare and the Arabian which is disappointing.) The Brahma bull is a reissued mold isn't it? But since I missed it the first time around I will probably get this time. The Dachshund and the Yorkie are cute though I would have left the yorkie's ear hair alone instead of coloring it black (that looks a little funny.) The rhino has a nice pose but looks like it has a weird texture, though that could just be the pic. The Cryptid toob is awesome, though Ceolocanths are still alive, not cryptids. The panda looks like the WW one. I was very surprised that the bison is a new mold, though does this mean that the normal one will be discontinued? The Gila monster is pretty neat. The hippo is long overdue for a remake. The Peccary is a total surprise figure, very happy about that one. And the black wolf is kind neat even if it is just a repaint. And those are my opinions. So far this year, its looking pretty good. |

| Just a quick question, the older hippo is an old figure. Does anyone know when it was released? I'm curious to know if it beat the previous Schleich hippo with years on the market. This older hippo from Safari was on the market for a looooooong time. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Thanks for the information. The most unusual animals - and the best - are the peccary and the anhinga. Most models are nice but rather as usual, but that´s only my opinion. _________________ Yvette

| Thanks Martin for merging the pictures. I agree it is disapointing mainly to someone that collect Wonders. I know some people only bought these larger and more expensive figures because they're not available in smaller size. I would also appreciate better if these moulds were new, but being mostly common figures and generally very good replicas, I am glad I'll have the chance of having them in smaller size. I like this black rhino for instance. It is not a very exciting list of releases, repaintings and reused moulds are excessively used. Though, the few really good news are excelent and offer a a larger diversity then what we often see in brands like Schleich, Papo or Bullyland. Sealife is very interesting, dinosaurs too. Wings of the World much better than last year and North America very good too. Wonders, farm and the lack of a real new on wildlife are the minus of 2014 offer in my opinion. - trevok4 wrote:

| For me the rhino doesn't look too nice (something strange in him), however hippo is pretty fine I also like panda, good pose and proportions but I'm afraid painting is really "Safarish" I'm really happy to see the raven is super nicely sculpted Anhinga looks very nice (little too big feet but still acceptable I think) Peccary is maybe too much in shape of European wild boar. I feel like lower jaw is too big and too much "mane" was not necessary (I don't mention legs because it's more about production process, not really their fault) But OK it's first peccary on the market, will be on my list anyway. Yes, mini cardinal looks super cute, I wonder how many is in the set? _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection
