Usually Collecta has unique animals they make and not the typical ones. Lots of horses and preistoric models this year. Not much wildlife. Elephant looks great but love to know how big it is.

I am pleased to see that they are making another toob. I was very happy with the quality of their Wild Animals toob. If anyone finds out about the exact sizes, please let me know.

I was excited about this too!

Wonderful anglerfish. I like the detail, that the male one stick on the larger female fish.

Finally the last from CollectA and I think the best. If the size is adequate, that would be the definite American bison figurine. The sculpt is unbelievable! Amazing, so perfect texture! None of the previous bison figures available from western brands are of my taste, including the previous CollectA one with afro hairstyle. So, this is the only 2022 CollectA figure that I might get. Some of the reptiles from the reptiles set could be interesting for me too, especially the frilled lizard and thorny devil if they're enough small for me.
And we see, finally the anglerfish was not a monkfish as some tought initially. So no need for choose between this and the Eikoh one, they're from two different families - as related as a pig with a giraffe! And this anglerfish is absolutely amazing and perfect, I love the detail of the parasite male in the belly!

Oh, i just bought the Safari deep sea toob a few days ago…but this anglerfish is far superior. I will need to get this one. Plus, that Bison! I was using the old Safari NAW Bison, but this is clearly the best bison to ever hit the trade, if it translates well. A must have for me.

The anglerfish is another want for me and mostly I enjoy it (the male looks like what he is, not a fin or a tumor!) but the eye looks odd to me. Am I mis-seeing things, or does it look like it has eyelids?

Stunning models! No dogs but I can't complain after an amazing dog year last year, CollectA have done a beautiful job with these models and created them to such a high degree of realism! I love that anglerfish, and the bison too- but all of them are incredible for plastic models, more like resins! CollectA is such a wonderful brand!

I’ve been giving my two cents on the dinosaurs so far, so I might as well comment on the last two. The Edmontosaurus and Triceratops are okay but they are topped by Safari’s recent edmonto and trike from an accuracy standpoint. For me the Smok, Paraceratherium, Cooperoceras, and Geosternbergia are my takes from this list. And maybe the wonderful anglerfish.

not much of this wild life, every year we have six models but, looking at their quality, they are wonderful. It would be wonderful if they surprised us all now and added something extra for collectors two or three models, e.g. antelope gereniuk, carakal or monkey gelade I can already see how everyone else let us applaud them for this ace from our sleeve, I greet all

I might buy the reptiles and amphibians tube just for some of the lizards, but here's an interesting fact.
Collecta's Anglerfish is a Footballfish (or Himantolophus paucifilosus for people who prefer scientific names) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Also this is the first figure representation (to my knowledge) of a male Anglerfish. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Only females have the lure, whereas males are tiny and I guess not as cool in the eyes of toy companies. In order to find a mate in the vast darkness of the midnight zone, the male anglerfish latches onto the female and starts to drink her blood. In a couple of weeks, the two are physically fused.

Haydn, it is the most impressive figure of the year for sure, also, seeing how it matches with the real thing, I am even more immpressed! Please don't tempt me to buy fish.

Very useful videos. The Spinosaurus is better than what I expected and it is good to remember that there are a few fantastic Spinosaurus recently released. About the Paraceratherium and it is also one of my favorite prehistoric mammals, I continue having mixed feelings about it. The proboscis is not a problem, actually it looks very nice on that video, I also like the way the body is sculpted and the pose. Though, from some angles the head looks too large, I don't have the impression of an animal with a huge body but it may be because the proboscis makes it look larger and it has also large ears but those I really like. The tail is also quite thick, if they had sculpted a more delicate tail, it would also contribute to a more robuste body impression. One thing is indisputable, it is much nicer than the previous giraffe like rendition and also more accurate.
