I seem to remember that dhe person who designed horses for Safari then, has also designed for Breyer later..or am my memories cheating me ?   

Jane Lunger has sculpted horses for Safari and later did the 3rd generation Stablemates for Breyer, yes. Another sculptor the brands have "shared" is Kathleen Moody.

Thanks Lea, I find this kind of information very interesting. Jane Lunger also worked to Franklin Mint.  It looks these Stablemates 3G were developed between 2005 and 2007. Curiously, Safari started the Winers Circle Horses collection in 2004 and I find some of the first horse figures somewhat different from previous of Farm Collection. I like specially these two, developed the year before Jane starting with Breyer, Morgan mare and the Friesian stallion. As you are much more used with horses and Breyer than I am, do you believe these two match her style? :)

Glad to help. I do believe the Morgan and Friesian are Lunger's work too, yes.

So, it's been a while... but I can't share pics of my new figures quite yet, since another package is supposed to get here either tomorrow or Saturday. So, in the mean time lets just say two big horses, a whole interspecies pack of Safari ltd. animal buddies and a splash of Mojo figures.  

Not to hurry you, but... did that package arrive? Shooooowww usss!  

Also, those Little Buster cattle and Ana's glorious gaur.. as ever, I swoon. Did you find the Little Busters online, I wonder?

No the package has not arrived yet, I'm hoping it will be here by Monday. If not I will post anyways.   
Thank you for the compliment also, I finally found those charlois cows (technically for Christmas from a family member) at my local farm/feed store. If you would like I may be able to get some of them for you for a trade or something. I was there yesterday and if I remember they had the cows and calves of all three families, sadly I don't remember seeing the bulls but the store may have moved them.   And of course thanks again for your interest.

Thank you all so much.   Yes, the anteater mom I got from TGF toys, its their "exlusive" re-release of the model. My favorite part is her tongue, for some reason I never noticed it on other pictures etc.   

Congratulations Paige, my favorite parts of the anteater are tongue, head, neck, body, tail, legs and baby!
All of them are wonderful, how it is called the smallest of 2 big Breyer horses? :)

Lovely additions again; certainly worth the wait! Your taste in Safaris converges with mine, I notice - I find many of your new ones some of Safari's very nicest. Also, that Adios... Despite its age and relative simplicity, that mould is one of the best Breyer have, in my opinion. The head on that horse is particularly gorgeous.

I'd be more than happy to take you up on that - thank you for offering! It's getting late here, so I think I'll PM you tomorrow rather than now to discuss details. I'm really delighted you'd be willing to go through the trouble for me - those cows have proven pretty elusive (or have come with ridiculous shipping tags before - $20 a piece, one place wanted..!).
