I agree--unless it it the angle of the photo, the gemsbok head looks a little too big like its original mold. Seems like the same pose too. I will need to see it in person to decide.

Again, not to be morbid, but being realistic in the animal kingdom, I would love to see one of the brands come out with an African animal carcass like they do with Dinosaur carcasses. We now have plenty of vultures, jackels and hyenas to scavenger on it!

I'm just a tiny bit late to this discussion -- and every other one for the last eight months or so... But:

I love the giraffes. I can't help it, they look cool.

I've been agonizing about what cheetah to buy my child and I think this new Schleich cheetah solves that problem. It's not amazing, but it looks quite good. I mean, it actually looks like a Cheetah.

The Pangolin is very cool.

I will definitely buy the Gemsbok. Any antelope, I will get it.

The leopard and the elephants... meh.

Not sure what I think of the Safari Chimpanzee yet.

I am sure your son will love that cheetah and actually I am very happy with most brands this year, Schleich have some very good figures for 2016 in my opinion... mainly the pangolin.

Wow, the collectA's pictures look very nice, I'm looking forward to the real models.

It's all starting to fill up. Pretty good species diversification for this year too.

Yes 2015 was a bit "calm and quiet" year for African shelves. 2016 will be a great millesime

Marabou and meerkats are nice. impala is not very good, but I think I'll get it since I have no impala.

Not many African figures entered my collection recently but I see lots of great species to be added in 2016! Fabulous year this one and who knows Mojö or Bullyland still have something to tell!
