| Thank you everyone. A "left" whale indeed. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Wonderful right whale. I'm thinking about getting this one. But it's quite large, isn't it?
Have the Pacific Right Whale from Schleich and the Atlantic Right Whale from Maia&Borges. |

| If you don't want one of the right whales I'll be more than ecstatic to take one under my wing
Michael, it's a little bigger than their Bowhead I believe, but I don't own the figure _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ADAM [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] "Our planet is in crisis. | Haven't updated here in a while! I was hoping I would get a good snow pack for photos but it's been unseasonably warm here. So here are a few photos of the Mojo Simmental cow from several months ago I didn't get around to uploading. Hopefully soon something will change landscape wise to make for better photo ops rather than my frost-bitten and hibernating plants. | I love this model!!! It's such a wonderful figure of a lesser known breed, especially over here in the UK- and it looks even more gorgeous in your photos! And this little pup must be so special to you because of Buck- he may not be a Decker Rat Terrier but probably the closest you can get! This is definitely one of my favourite of New Rays dogs! |

| You are so right! Its a very special model because of my own handsome boy, Buck. I wish I could find a cocker spaniel that looked Flynn but alas I have not yet. | Great photos of both the models and dogs!!Wonderful dogs and would say that Flynn looks very much like an American Cocker. With regards to his coat, spaniels coats can get quite woolly and fluffy when they are neutered ,so that may be a factor if hes been neutered. |

| He is very much so neutered. Thanks for the insight Taylor! Thanks everyone for your comments. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | I don't mind my thread discussing this at all. But it might help cohesively if we started a thread somewhere down in the real animals department to discuss it at length (further). I will ask a moderator to nab these last few comments of discussion. @Taylor, Soo interesting! I think the dog genetics are way more complex than most laypeople think, and since they are so easily manipulated, the genes from a great dane ancestor, even if it is close at hand for the progeny, could be lost quickly (i.e. size for instance). And littermates can be quite different too from each other!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], I got UKC papers with Buck but did not register him as that was never my intent in getting a new friend and I believe in neutering/spaying if you don't plan on breeding animals (responsibly). His parents come from "long" lines of Decker Giants (relatively speaking as its still a young breed compared to say, the American Cocker Spaniel or Labrador Retriever), his mother was nearly all white except for a minimal mask and his father was nearly all black with tan points (so Buck is a good mix of the two). As far as history goes, Milton Decker (the namesake for the breed) really wanted a versatile, healthy, mid size companion dog that had good temperament and could be used in a variety of past times (hunting game like deer or gamebirds, rousting rats and other vermin, being a farm dog, etc.) He didn't feel the need to track stock persay, besides being assured they were healthy animals that wouldn't introduce health concerns. And so far, the breed IS healthy, the only possible reoccurring diseases don't have enough statistics yet to be proven as something attributable to the breed as a whole. @Kelly, exactly! Companies could be comparing any number of different markers, so results WILL vary. If any company had all the ratties on it, the Standard, Toy, and Decker, I would bet they'd be difficult to tell apart because they are so recently diverged. Alas, the Toy and Decker are still quite rare and Standards aren't exactly popular either. People also claim Basenji because of the forehead wrinkles between their ears and general face structure. But Pit is a feature in their musculature, most terriers aren't stocky or "built" besides the bully ones. This is one terrier type I feel that you can SEE their muscles when they move. My biggest hint is Buck has serious cheek muscles. Compared to our Lab, his jaw is cushed with muscle and he can chew through hard chewing bones (not actual bone) and leashes in a flash (I tied him in my backyard to a tree for a moment while training so I could move something out of our way. He decided he hated that and in .02 seconds he ruined my favorite leash. He'd probably ruin his teeth on wire tether if I ever tried it, which I won't). It's just a fun mystery. I'd like to test him out of curiosity, but I suspect I'd be disappointed with the results too. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Got tired of waiting for snow so I went looking for it. Took a trip up into my local hills for some photoshoots. Pics will be revealed over the next few weeks. First up, the Tree House Kids elk bull (deviated from my usual 3 photo sets because it was VERY cold up there... some models will have several photos and others only 1 or 2). | Very good photos Paige, do you have any idea what the purple coloured plant is near the elk? _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ADAM [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] "Our planet is in crisis.
