| Today’s creature is the non dinosaur (crocodilian) Boverisuchus magnifrons. Boverisuchus magnifrons lived in the middle Eocene of Germany and possibly North America. Boverisuchus is often callled by its old name Pristichampsus but Boverisuchus is the current name. Boverisuchus means “bovine crocodile” a reference to how this creature has hooves and could run. Boverisuchus was 10 feet long. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]My current figure representation of this species is the only Boverisuchus toy I know of. This is a miniature from safari Ltd. It was sold in the prehistoric crocodile tube and is labeled Pristichampsus. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This figure is 1:40 scale, putting it in scale with schliech’s human figure. 12.15.2020 _________________ “They were here before us and if we’re not careful, they’re going to be here after”-Ian Malcolm Also check out my collection here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Haydn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Also here is my 2020 Christmas Tree setup. I have the Mattel basic Dino pack serve as extra ornaments for Christmas. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Also I’m wondering what sort of carnosaur this lontic figure represents. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Also here is some big news. This is the last Christmas leak of the year. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This creature is called Eurypterus. It lived in the Silurian period of New York. This figure was supplied by Patrick May of Paleocasts. I bought this gorgeous cast on his Etsy shop along with 8 other trilobites. 12.16.2020 _________________ “They were here before us and if we’re not careful, they’re going to be here after”-Ian Malcolm Also check out my collection here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Haydn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Sadly my eurypterus is going to be quite lonely in my collection because I have no other sea scorpion toys. But some of the trilobites i will be getting are from the Silurian so at least Eurypterus won’t be completely lonely.

| Also guys, I want to make a “Merry Christmas” photo for 2020 with the dinosaurs, but I don’t know which ones to use (because I have so many). But I know I’m gonna use the new ones I got for Christmas, but if that is not sufficient for a good photo, put requests for figures you have seen in my collection in the reply section.

| Also here is today’s dinosaur. This is a rather late post, but I wasn’t able to do it all day. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Today’s dinosaur is the Herrerasaurus ischigualastensis by Collecta. Herrerasaurus means “Herrera’s lizard” (Herrera was the name of the Argentinian farmer who found the specimen). Herrerasaurus lived in the late Triassic of Argentina. It was 15 feet long and weighed 450 pounds. It was one of the first dinosaurs, and it lived among creatures like Eoraptor. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This figure by Collecta is 1:36 scale, putting it very close to Schliech’s 1:40 human. That human is quickly becoming one of my most useful figures in my collection. It is also very close to scale with Jesus Toledo’s Paleo Creatures 1:35 Saurosuchus (which lived in the same area). | Today’s dinosaur is the Coelophysis bauri, produced by safari Ltd, [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Coelophysis bauri lived in New Mexico during the late Triassic period. It was 10 feet long and weighed 50 pounds according to Gregory S. Paul. I always use the measurements in his books for my dinosaurs. Coelophysis means “Hollow form”. A bone bed in New Mexico contained many of these dinosaurs that all died at the same time. Coelophysis was one of the earliest dinosaurs. Several coelophysis species like Coelophysis rhodensis and Coelophysis kayentakatae survived into the early Jurassic period, being one of the few Coelophysids to do so. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This coelophysis is 1:14 scale, putting it very close to Character Option’s primeval human series. 12.17.2020 _________________ “They were here before us and if we’re not careful, they’re going to be here after”-Ian Malcolm Also check out my collection here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Haydn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Also, I always wanted a Brontoscorpio figure. That’s this creature: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]So if anybody knows where to get one, please comment below, or if there is no figure, please comment a scorpion figure that could be used as a Brontoscorpio. 12.18.2020 _________________ “They were here before us and if we’re not careful, they’re going to be here after”-Ian Malcolm Also check out my collection here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Haydn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Today’s very special dinosaur is the Safari Ltd Camarasaurus lentus. I remember getting this figure as a Christmas present when it first came out two years ago. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Camarasaurus lentus lived in North America 150 million years ago, during the late Jurassic period. It was 50 feet long and weighed 15 tons. This creature lived among the famous brachiosaurus, apatosaurus, and diplodocus. It also shared its home with dinosaurs of a smaller size, like stegosaurus and Allosaurus. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This figure is a massive 15 inches in length, making it 1:40 scale when compared to real life Camarasaurus lentus. This means it is in scale with my new favorite human figure, the 1:40 schliech figure made to accompany the old Replica-Saurus series. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And here are some 1:40 dinosaurs. Camarasaurus by Safari with the Battat Tyrannosaurs rex. Also we have the 1:40 favorite co allosaurus (allosaurus was actually a contemporary of Camarasaurus).

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] 12.18.2020 Okay, the Cephalaspis is the Ambassador of Peace also? Should we be hanging little models of them from our Christmas trees? Is what's wrong with the world that they went extinct and took the peace with them? Seriously though, I'm curious to see the model when you get it. And I really want to thank you for this informative thread, I've really enjoyed this thread, learned a fair bit, and added greatly to my wish list. |

Seriously though, I'm curious to see the model when you get it. And I really want to thank you for this informative thread, I've really enjoyed this thread, learned a fair bit, and added greatly to my wish list. Too bad it is a knock-off of the Colorata Cephalaspis and the guys who ‘copycat’ the model thought it was a turtle... Also if you look at the knockoff Acutiramus below, you can see that they duplicated “horseshoe horseshoe crab”. It’s strange how they didn’t even do the research. They just copied the toy and let that be that. The set may arrive before or after Christmas. 12.19.2020 _________________ “They were here before us and if we’re not careful, they’re going to be here after”-Ian Malcolm Also check out my collection here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Haydn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Today’s dinosaur is the safari Ltd Desmatosuchus spurensis. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Desmatosuchus lived in the late Triassic of North America. It was about 15 feet long and weighed 1200 pounds. This creature resembles ankylosaurs, but it is a much older reptile. Desmatosuchus is an aetosaur, which is a group of animals more related to crocodiles than dinosaurs. They were the first archosaurs to eat plants. Desmatosuchus means “link crocodile”. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This figure is 1:50 scale, which means it is to scale with a lego person. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And here is the Desmatosuchus hanging out with other Triassic archosaurs of similar scale. Postosuchus Kirkpatricki (Safari Ltd), “Rutiodon validus” (Safari Ltd), Desmatosuchus spurensis (Safari Ltd). They are all toob figures.
