| Next up another strange few groups- but hopefully interesting all the same! It was quite hard to categorise, but it includes various rodents, rats and mice as well as a few others! The first batch are various mice by the brand 'Sylvanians'- I loved these when I was younger but don't collect them anymore- but I thought I'd include them anyway! They are certainly now too anthropomorphised for my taste- but still well made! They came with clothes which I always took off- but the only animals I collect from their range now are their dogs! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]free screenshot tool And then some rather terrifying rats- these are quite big, made of squishy rubber- so sorry for the quality of the photo- the lighting is terrible! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And then here a group probably more interesting to collectors, including a whole range of various animals ( definitely not accurately organised biologically, but then this was the best way I could group them! I love the Papo meerkat, a beautiful sculpt and so nicely painted, and the Schleich hamster is also a real favourite of mine! The Schleich gerbil is very sweet, and there is also a lemur by Schleich, and a fantastical squirrel which is beautifully done. Then there are the fuzzy In My Pocket ones, a couple of Playmobil mice, and the Schleich rat from the farm set. And to finish off, two lovely vintage figures from the brand 'Wade', made in Egland- I'm not sure about these field mice but some of Wade's figures are over 60 years old- and they have made some lovely animals if anyone is interested! | Some product designs are made to be cute or scary as your post illustrates. It is more than OK when it is assumedly done. Those Silvanian are really lovely models. Obviously figures like the perfect Papo meerkat or the nice Schleich lemur are more my collecting taste but this topic really shows what you have been collecting for all these years and I really enjoy that you show all kinds and not only those you can find among our collections. Any collector has its own story. I always loved mice but I don’t think it is one of the most interesting subjects among realistic toys. On the other hand, I think it is one of the nicest subjects among cartoons and similar. Mickey and Minie are the most famous but we have Topo Gigio the cutest, Remi from Ratatouille (a rat), Jerry who puts Tom Cat in big troubles, Speedy Gonzales (the fastest), etc. |

| I'm so glad you like them Roger and you enjoy my collecting story! I hope it makes things a little more interesting, like you now I would definitely collect more realistic animals like the Papo meerkat, but here we say 'variety is the spice of life!!' Oh yes and very many cartoon mice! I love Tom and Jerry- and with cartoon mice I always think of 'The Rescuers' which I used to watch! |

| Wonderful batch again. The Papo meerkats really do stand above most. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | I love the meerkat also. If I were seeking one, you've sold me on that one. Fortunate they're really outside my focus!
Ah, the Sylvanians and Calico Critters! I remember my daughter wanting them, but they were beyond my budget.
I also enjoy watching the evolution of your collecting habits. And these old childhood friends, perhaps one day you'll have a little one to share them with. |

| Oh yes the meerkat- very popular but I can definitely see why, it's amazing realism is along the same lines as the beautiful Papo squirrel released this year! And that was the problem with these Sylvanians they really are expensive but I think that goes down to the quality- they are definitely well made and the clothes that came with them are so intricate! And I'll definitely keep them, maybe one day I will be able to pass them on! And I'm so glad you find my collecting journey interesting! |

| Like Roger, I love to see your whole collection, also what you used to collect I always feel a bit sad when I see somebody just throwing failful old toys away, - well, it can be difficult to cling to old tays when you go ahead in lifr, but I am so happy now yhat I ket the little box of Reisler animals, and the Barbie doll with clothes that my grandmother made |

| That's the same with me! I hate to see old toys thrown away, and whenever my parents start boxing things up, I always make them unbox them again! There is something so special about old toys, all the years you have spent with them, and to throw them away would be like throwing away an old friend! So even if they are no longer of my collecting taste, I still love them, and show them here because I love them! |
