I think that Arabian mare mold was defintely made to use the color of the standard version. That kind of black is nice but I'm not sure it works with that mould. Maybe a color like the old Andalusian stallion could work better.

She doesn’t actually look as bad in person.
My camera flash just makes her look oddly shiny.

Also I think it’s because it’s just one solid colour. Maybe if the black one had some white markings on its face/legs it wouldn’t look so bad.

But yes, I also think she looks better as a grey.

This model was supposedly released as an Exclusive to the Nuremberg Toy Fair in Germany back in 2014.
However, I actually found mine at a local agricultural/country show of all places, right here in the UK,
at a toy stand that was selling (Brand new. Not second-hand) Schleich. I was a little put off by her £12 price tag at the time,
as that's quite expensive for something this small, but since it was an exclusive and I'd never seen it before I decided to just buy it anyway and I'm glad I did,
as now getting one here in the UK is extremely difficult and almost impossible to find one for less than £20.

Hello fellow collectors.  [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]  I'm interrupting my collection showcase to announce a very exciting update to my collection.

Well....I have just done something I never thought I'd do....
I have just paid what is frankly an insane amount of money for arguably the rarest Schleich horse model ever made. The "16753 Ingo Koblischek, Black Horse Rearing" released in 1999.
After over 10+ years of searching (and only ever seeing it for sale once before in that whole time)
I'd given up hope of ever owning this particular model.

But then today I found a listing of this model (that on it's own is an achievement) that would not only post to my country, but it's also still in it's original box!!!! With the tag!!! (That's unheard of btw)

I'm so excited for this to arrive (also nervous because I'm always paranoid about stuff getting caught up in customs. Even though I got this on eBay and I'm pretty sure they include customs charges in the postage price anyway, I still won't be able to relax until it gets here)

In all seriousness though, I'm gonna have to stop buying Schleich for a while now. Otherwise my bank account might actually just shrivel up entirely.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Interesting the Knabstrupper a few posts ago. While I use to enjoy most older versions of Schleich horses, I find the old Knabstrupper a little boring. Maybe this one is excessively showy but it seems to have more identity than the previous model. I like the color of the special edition of the Tennessee Walking horse, I tend to enjoy those grey horses with dark manes and it works in this mould since the hairy parts are quite defining. I like the original color too. I have in my collection two different Mini Shetlands, the standard and a special edition. That's probably the cutest Schleich horse figure of ever in my opinion but cute in a good way.

Interesting the Knabstrupper a few posts ago. While I use to enjoy most older versions of Schleich horses, I find the old Knabstrupper a little boring. Yes, I'm still waiting for the black horse to arrive (it should get to me some time between the 24th - 30th October if all goes well)

The Tennessee Walker stallion isn't actually an exclusive model.
He was released as part of the regular line up in 2015, along with another black & white version of the 2011 pinto mare and a black & white version of the 2008 Tinker stallion.
They all appeared in the catalogs as regular releases.
