I'm also curious to see how your repaints will work. Though, maybe it is better to buy a pair of models and wait for the next year to repaint because it is possible that Papo releases a colored version of this mold. ... and I suspect the white version won't last long and might become one of those rare Papo items. That's all speculation, don't refrain from doing what you think it is better.

Hey, does anyone happen to know if the papo kraken 39483 is the old kraken, with a new paint job? If this an old mould, but new paint, then I might not get it. Anyway, if some one could help with this mystery, that would be great.

Yes, it is the old one with a new color. I mentioned it in the first page list but probably you missed it. However, feel free to ask whatever you need. For example, the white peacock is a completely new figure, it's not a variation of the standard colored peacock which has an open tail contrarily to the new model.

This White Peacock is in my list now, congratulations.

Very acceptable price for this kind of figure. It is in my whish list but I would love to see a comparison topic with the Safari Ltd black cayman.

Has anyone seen an actual photo of the new Papo great horned owl figurine? Some online shops seem to be labeling it as an eagle owl, but I believe there is a difference between the two species. Can anyone confirm this?

The Papo figure is an Eurasian eagle owl. It is correctly identified in French, the original language, Hibou grand-duc. It's also correctly translated to Spanish as buho real. The problem is that it is wrongly translated to English as great horned owl.. So it is just a translation mistake.
You can see it is the Eurasian species because the American has normally the "ears" vertically positioned and it has also a typical triangle shape on the forehead which this figures is missing. Judging from the catalogue picture, it is probably the best Eurasian eagle owl figure ever made.

I've noticed that the Papo Eurasian eagle owl figurines seem to be sold out, but I haven't seen any actual photographs of the figurine itself.

A walk-around of the female moose with comparison would be much appreciated. 
I would like to purchase one but I don't know which model is the best between Schleich, Safari and Papo

I suspect whatever is your choice, you'll get an excellent model.

The porcupine, clouded leopard, and ampelosaurus have just been released. I will be getting the porcupine and clouded leopard once they arrive in the US.

I have seen an image of Papo's display at a store and I saw the eagle owl in the display but it was very small and hard to see. To me it looks to be the same size as their standing barn/snowy owl. I plan on getting this figure once it arrives in the states.

I don’t know if it is just the video, but to me it looks, I don’t know sloppy?? It doesn’t even look like a Papo product… I was really excited for this owl but I will definitely wait to see more in hand photos before buying this.
