Papo 2024 Releases, complete list with pictures

got it yesterday with the guinea fowl in Montpellier town "Grande Récré" store. They still have not received the cats (lion and clouded leopard) and the porcupine..

This european eagle-owl is bigger than the Schleich one.

I love this figure since the first official picture. My experience as a TAW editor challenged me so many times to try to guess the species of some generic eared owl figures. Most of them are really hard to tell if they are great horned owls or Eurasian eagle owlss. tis one, despite being mislabeled in English on Papo catalogue, I've noticed immediately that it is an Eurasian eagle owl. It is not because I am an expert which I'm not, it is because the model is very well done and not conspicuous as many other figures. I have the old Schleich which I like but I will try to get one of these as soon as I can and I hope I can find a good sample.

according to me, it is yet a very good model! :)

Thanks for comparison pictures, Alain! The newer Schleich model is smaller than the older Schleich eagle owl. I suppose you don't have the older model. When they make them with open wings they need often to make these large birds in a smaller size but I like if the owl is almost as large as the Papo condor. It defintely looks very good to me, isn't this what we see?

I did not remember that there was a Schleich previous model. I found it back and he is not so bad!.. Thank you for this beautiful picture Rogério and yes we can compare with the models and see that the Papo painting is rather good! :)

Thank you for your photos! It looks much better. I think it is the eyes that look weird to me, almost like they are popping out.

The marmoset, mako & African lion are now available. I hope at least the Scarlet ibis gets released before the end of the year

Papo 2024 porcupine. Clearly based on the genus Hystrix. Since I have the CollectA figure specifically advertised as the Indian crested porcupine, I am using this as the African crested porcupine. I waffled back and forth for a while between African crested and Cape porcupines, but realized the differences separating them cannot be appreciated in a figure like this, so I stuck with the former.

The porcupine looks amazing, it's definitely on my wish list.

Porcupines are popular animals, every child knows what a porcupine is. Though, the same feature which turns them popular animals, is also what represents a big issue for toy manufacturing. Considering the challenge it represents, I think Papo did a good job and I will surely acquire one soon or later.

What an awesome Porcupine! He is definitely on my wishlist.
