I have no idea if it is a legitimate figurine or not, but I would note that there are at least two painting variants of this rarity. Maybe this is one of them, or perhaps yet another...

Usually the white is more an yellow/white at the superpinto.
This white is snow white.
In the past the seller has sold good repaints and he does not write, that this is the original superpinto.

I was very tempted to bid on the foal, because mine is not in box, - but it is a *beeep* of a lot of money

One of my friends has said for years, that she thinks the Artist`s horses are going to become more expensive than The Pinto. But of course this pinto is a rare variant, according to Torben

Even when i see this prizes, i feel happy, that i bought my most rare items for years ago very cheap.
For a few month you could buy the Künstlerpferd "Trabende Stute" Trotting Mare with box for 80 Euros. The "Steigender Hengst" Stallion is even more expensive. You would see the next auction.

Of course you are right, - the boxes are bulky and not that nice, - it is probably the reason why the boxed ones are so expensiver, most people took them out at threw the box away, i suupose

I'm not particularly surprised at the first and third auctions, as they are somewhat typical prices nowadays, but 302 euros? That is surely 100-150 euros too much, given auctions of this same item in the box in the last year...
