| While waiting from Schleich 2011 news I'm able to tell you about some news from the brand that is improoving and probabily the best in near future! Everybody knows that we will have a lot of new prehistoric animals, CollectA has more dinos than all the other brands!!! It's already possible to see some images of a prehistoric marine reptile called Rhomaleosaurus. But is not possible, I guess, to find some information about new portuguese animals for the next year. So I don't know if I am the first giving that news. A new dino called Lourinhanosaurus, I have that information because the work of CollectA are beeing developed with the portuguese paleontologist that brought this dino to the world knowledge. That's a aloosaurus like from the late jurassic discovered in Lourinhã (Portugal). For those who love horses there's a big news! Has I told before Schleich horses are very beautifull but very chubby, developed to children. New CollectA horses are very realistic and detailed. So I think that we will have a lusitano horse next year, one of the most wonderfull horses of the world! Portuguese too! Does anybody knows more news about CollectA 2011? |

| Oh, last year CollectA was not early to reveal its news. Maybe this year there'll be some info leakage before the New Year? _________________ Owners of miniature zoos on shelves, unite! My collector's blog

| The animal was 7 meters long. This figurine is in 1:40 scale. So it shouldn't be heavy/expensive...theoretically! |

So it shouldn't be heavy/expensive...theoretically! It's the same price of the hydrotherosaurus and liopleurodon, probabily not a 1:40 scale but nearly it like they did with the fantastic Sarcosuchus! |

So it shouldn't be heavy/expensive...theoretically! Theoretically Minhea But Companies scales and REAL scales are often different... Sometimes VERY different It seems CollectA will also produce a Kelenken terror bird in 2011 but I still don't see pics. |

They already discussed this pic a few days a go on DTF Minhea That's true Christophe but I didn't know it! I'm not a DTF member but I've checked it, they are partners of some brands with commercial purposes and will always know everything first than STS... no, no, no I haven't found any information about the Lourinhanosaurusin other forum, so I'll promess Minhea! That's should be a new from STS members! :) |

There are some very good birds off CollectA in last years, peregrine falcon, mute swan, etc. and that looks logical because they made some "bird dinos" like gigantoraptor, oviraptor, psitacosaurus, a feathered velociraptor, etc. So a terror bird is a very nice idea!!! About the Lusitano, Christophe or Ken, could you give us a "smell" of it showing the Lusitanos of other brands (Safari, Papo and Schleich)? |

| DTF was a nice tip! Lourinhanossaurus is not a new for them! Those are the dinos from CollectA 2011 they are talking:
Hatzegopteryx and Ornithocheirus, Rhomaleosaurus and Attenborosaurus, Lourinhamosaurus and Australovenator, Ampelosaurus and Alamosaurus, Plateosaurus, Torosaurus, Dacentrurus, Irritator, Utahraptor, Concavenator , Liliensternus.
If dinos are still known where to find the wild life? I'll try! |

If dinos are still known where to find the wild life? I'll try! A long long list as every year My problem with CollectA is the quality of the models... Some are very fine but a lot are not so fine or far for what we know about the dinosaur. I like to collect extinxt animal figurines but I only find a few every year among the so wide range of CollectA. So I will wait to see them before enjoying. About the Lusitano, I can't help you because I don't collect horses, pets or farm animals. |

| If judging by the first two pages of the Collecta 2011 dinosaurs catalog, they'll introduce a new chimpanzee and an ostrich chick next year.
