| The Plesiosaurus was among the first Mesozoic reptiles to be recognized. So it ended up as something of a taxonomic wastebasket, and a great many other Plesiosaur remains were also identified as Plesiosaurus. Valid species lived during the Early Jurassic only. Pleisiosaurus is distinguished by its small head, short snout, long and slender neck, broad turtle-like body, a short tail, and two pairs of large, elongated paddles. Plesiosaurus fed on belemnites, fish and other prey. Some traces of skin discovered suggest that it was smooth, not scaly. It is unknown if Plesiosaurus laid eggs on land like sea turtles or give live birth in the water. Plesiosaurus dolichodeirus was about 3 metres long. The neck seems to have been rather stiff, because the vertebrae are nearly flat-ended, which indicates that it could not have been bent in the swan-fashion represented in many old restorations. So, you may understand why I am very happy to show you the new plesiosaurus made by KINTO FAVORITE this year. It is indeed very different from the old STARLUX and the old looking PAPO Nessie. Like the Brachiosaurus, I showed you HERE, this model is a beautiful educative toy, true to what we know about the animal and marvellously sculpted by the well known Araki Kazunari. It is nearly 1:25 scale, as Tintin. Thank you to be here

| Papo prehistoric marine reptiles are just bizarre. Tylosaurus is impressive like a dragon or any other fantasy figure but a flop as an educational toy. Also it is hard to understand why Papo plesiosaur was made in such an outdated fashion. Maybe they work in a more decorative way in shelves and contribute to the spectacular show line of Papo prehistoric figures. I am glad the Kinto is replicated according with what science is describing turning it in a really educational toy. Thanks for your walk around. |

| You are right Rogério I like also the KINTO models are build with a small hole which allow you to put the model on a basis. Iwould be happy if other companies will think about this when they are making marine animals... |
