 Some hilarious... I saw an ugly horse few days ago... I didn't have the idea to buy it but now I'm in a crossroad... ^^

I just finished going through my byproduct-of-collecting Terrible Animals stash (all up for grabs [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]), and I present to you now the crème de la crème of my findings. They're nearly so bad as to have me want to keep them.

Let me introduce to NONESENSOSAURUS AURICULUS. This dinosaur was discovered by JaRu, in the 1970's, in Hong Kong. A very agressive carnivorous dinosaur living in the Hypothetistic era, Nonesensosaurus Auriculus seemed to have ranged from Asia throughout United States.

Here is a dinosaur who probably sometimes fell prey to Nonesensosaurus Auriculus: the Ceratopsian QUADRICEROS GYMNOCEPHALUS. Quadriceros Gymnocephalus, another dinosaur discovered by JaRu in Hong Kong, also lived during the Hypothetistic Era. Its range follows the one of Nonesensosaurus Auriculus, all the way through Asia and United States. Interestingly, both fossils of Macrauchenia and Uintatheriums have been found in the same sites as Quadriceros sp. and Nonesensosaurus sp.

Very well named and Palaeonthologically introduced.

Quadriceros Gymnocephalus earned its name by its hornless forehead: as JaRu, the famous paleothologist noticed, has its horns on its frill instead of having them on its head. This feature tends to place Quadriceros sp. close to Styracosaurus.

As for Nonesensosaurus Auriculus, it is the only known dinosaur to have had ear pavillions, which makes it look like a mammal. JaRu thought at first it could have been a Pelycosaur, but its legs, planted upright, clearly puts it among the dinosaurs.

Hypothetistic Era stands simultaneously after Jurassic and before Triassic periods.

Quadriceros and Nonesensosaurus are indeed serious members of the club

This dragon is a no name (doesn't even rank a China), very ugly but for some reason I like him... I'm very picky about dragons too. The Safari water dragon next to him is one of the few I like.

I know I have more uglies around in a 'give to kids' box, there's the oh-so-common Chinasaur t. rex wannabe with chicken feet he can't stand on... oh and my husband says to show you the T. rex I just got with a VERY odd paintjob. Tomorrow maybe I can photograph it.

I love that green-stick dragon   How on earth did they figure those wings should work ?
And bin toys, - I wonder if anybody buys the poor things ?

And I have been tempted to buy a couple of those ugly bin dragons, they're so weirdly ugly, but at $7 each not that tempted. I may end up buying the two Schleich knockoff dinos though, they're also $7.

I forgot to take a better pic of my fugly dragon, without the messy nightstand, and the cluckasaurus. I did get my punk rocker Cyndi Lauper T. rex though- along with a not-even-Chinasaurus flyer (sorry can't think of species) that is cool despite his poor manufacturing and worse paintjob, and an Apatosaurus that is cute despite looking like he's taking a dump.  He is stamped WM(some numbers) in a circle- maybe Wing Mau? Though he doesn't look like my known Wing Maus is size, style or materials.

This rhino is one of the few animals I still have around that's pretty ugly; the uglies find children to take them home pretty quickly around here. (wonder why the ugly dinos haven't disappeared as fast?)He is appealing, and has a rather old 'feel' to him. He has 'Made in China' in a circle, an A under that, and a C E- that's it. The plastic has a rather heavy rubbery feel to it.

That a not-even-Chinasaurus flyer is surely one of the most ugly/funny models I ever saw

I think the pterosaur is an attempt to represent a TAPEJARA.

Thanks Bowhead Whale, he's a thrift store find so I know nothing about him other than he's cheaply made.

I found these 2 horses in a tub of models at a thrift store today. Poor anorexic neon things. Definitely going in the 'to kids' box.
