| Again about your skate keyring, it seems there are unless a crab, and a lobster either. Check this picture. The fish is impossible for me to identify, can you put it in a certain taxa? Family or something like that? |

Absolutely no idea on this one, the head let me think about a deep sea fish but which one is a mystery That is my thinking, but I haven't had a chance to look into it much! And good to know I got the best of the market keychains! Minus the chain, of course! _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection! First off, I found a ridiculous number of rays--and this doesn't even count my kids' stuffed animals...
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The big one is a ray from Sun Wai. The species isn't particularly obvious, but I think it is sort of representative of a Blue Stingray Dasyatis chrysonota. It's a water squirter, but it never will be! Most interesting is that it has not one but two barbs on the tail.
Second, I picked up some new sets of the Club Earth rays set. My origial ones were more pearlescentin colour, but these would be more 'bright'. They are also stickier than the pearl ones, so I'm hoping that they dry out soon.
Finally, although we avoided Sea World, they did have 2 gift shops in the airport--and apparently Sea World has manufactured their own figures! I don't collect marine mammals, which dominated, but they did have what might be the nicest Spotted Eagle Ray I have--and an odd coloured Leopard shark.
I also found a few dinos: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Two of those are Battat re-release dinos, a Ceratosaurus and Amargasaurus. Only available at Target, and since that chain only lasted a few months here in Canada, I had to get them while there! Plus, my son found a 4D puzzle 'raptor' model, which is clearly based on the Ornitholestes from Walking with Dinosaurs. Will that big ray be on TAI, someday? |

Well, here you go! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I know that there are a couple other Sun Wai on the Animal Toy forum, but I don't have them. It's kind of an odd company. _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection! No problem! And a single, new addition... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Battat Acrocanthosaurus (revised edition)! Every time I go to the US, I go to a Target, and find another of the series! I'll find the T.rex some day. _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection! | Very nice addition, this is a beautiful Acrocanthosaurus. I hope you will find the tyrannosaurus and that this new edition stand on its feet. I hope I will catch the new Diplodocus before my next trip to USA. |

| Well, it went without saying that I would get the 4 new Soft Model Ancient fish! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.](note--the spae between the two brown fish tnak lid is about 60cm) Didn't need the giant soft vinyl coelacanth--but these 4 are amazing figures! The bichir is awesome--and it's nice to have a definite silver arowana. Overall, this is, and will be, a good year for freshwater fish figures. And fish in general! _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection! Will you show comparison pics with Colorata ones? Walkarounds? I definitely will--and add them to the ancient fishes thread somewhere here! But I just got them this evening, so it probably won't be until the evening. _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection! - Just got some fishy goodies from France, thanks to Christophe (Kikimalou)! Mostly from PRIOR:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Some of the real gems:
Electric catfish: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Hoplo cat (?): [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Pike cichlid? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Archerfish [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
A cool little fish that I can't quite name yet... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
A characin of some kind that, agian, is escaping me right now: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
A neat skate: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
And a...something. I honestly have no idea on this one--possibly a deep-sea fish of some kind. It's more of a solid plastic than the others, like a Marx figure. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
And, as a surprise, a neat little plastic hyena (of a brand I have to determine): [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Any IDs are welcome, since PRIOR doesn't use name markings. And I have spares of some, so they may need new homes! Do you have identify all fishes? :) |
