My very favorite moose, by Papo. I love the movement and seeming character of this guy. Moose in real life are quite comical to watch, big angry brutes, and such odd looking animals when they run around. Anyhow, enjoy.

Rattlesnakes can actually be quite colorful in real life. I have seen several that have a green hue or pinkish/red tinge, as well as tan/brown camoflage.

Pit vipers are my favorite group of snakes, they are just so amazing and beautiful.

Thanks to your pictures, I see now the Papo moose with an other eye!.. I did'nt get it because or its big size.

Do you not prefer the Papo more coloured rattlesnake?.

I love the papo model a lot, it has a bit more greenish tinge to it than the schleich or mojo model. And its one of the only ones that I have just slithering along (its posable I know, but I just have it doing natural behavior rather than in a defensive posture as the aforementioned). I considered this rattlesnake, but Papo won out in the end. I grew up with western diamondbacks (which is what this species most certainly represents) in Arizona; have also seen twin-spot and tiger rattlers in southern AZ.

Same here, mostly western daimondbacks. But I have seen some other subspecies at my college where the herpetologist kept some subspecies for research about hibernation etc.

Safari leafy sea dragon. I acquired this model relatively recently and I adore it! When I was younger we visited the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport Oregon, and they had a display of seaweed and greenery. I ran up to it and noticed the greenery was moving. Then my eyes recognized the little face and eye looking back at me, and then I saw there was a whole colony of them! They were remarkably playful and interested in the visitors which is something I have not noticed in any other sea horse species in captivity. It was a truly magical visit, and I haven't had an experience like that since. The same aquarium no longer has them on display, and they are now a rarity to have in captivity. But gosh I would love to see one up close again someday. Anyhow, this is the treasure of my aquatics collection.

Going some posts back in this topic, a figure promoted a sort of retrospective in my collecting journey.
My first encounter with Papo moose was still during the dawn of my gravitation around this hobby. I remember picking it up from a shop shelf and murmuring: "What a stupendous model!"
However, I was not yet the collector I am today and I started trying to find good excuses to not get it. First I've found it big and later I disliked the painting finish. The conclusion is that I returned it to its original place and I never gave a second serious thought to it. My moose is still the CollectA, one of the good figures of their first wave and that was never replaced and as I always found Schleich mooses great but boring, the fact is that I was never really completely satisfied with a moose... figure. .. it was sounding weird.
