| Dear Sts Friends:
Hi guys, well, there's not much to report, except that I just got a little envelope from Christy's Toy Outlet, which had a Collecta goose, and persian cat in it. Both figures have ended up in my collection. Also, I'll be going to Bricks and Minifigs later this week, so there'll probably be more new additions on the way soon. For now, this is the end of the news. Well, if anything changes, I'll just post here, and tell you all about it.

| Dear Sts Friends:
Well, so much has been happening here, that it just doesn't seem right for me to write a post about what's been happening in my collection. But I feel that something must be said because ... well ... you know, when there's big news to tell, you tell it. Right? Anyway, while you all have been busy discussing things on here, I've been going to Bricks and Minifigs pretty consistantly for the last few months. Because of this, there isn't much model news to share, although I did order and receive the Schleich Feeding the forest animals set, along with a few other newcomers from Schleich's range for 2024. As for how my collection is doing overall, I would say pretty well, and today, I received a bunch of playmobil parts for my kingdom, some of which I kept for myself. Mostly though, I've been focused on my lego collection. This doesn't mean I haven't been working on my figure collection. Far from it! In fact, my legos, shells, models, and playmobil are all part of the same collection, A.K.A. my figure kingdom. As for my searchlist, that continues to grow, but maybe sometime I'll order more figures again. Also, among my recent Schleich purchases I also got the Schleich armadillo for 2024. And this, my friends, is the end of the overview of what I've been up to. I'll have to do some math, but as far as I can figure, the current total in my collection is around 4188, and rising.
Aschuck
P.S. If anything changes in my collection, I'll keep you all informed.

| Subject: Mysterious figures I've found Fri May 24, 2024 2:22 am | |
| Dear Sts Friends:
Hi again, hey, does anyone know about this brand Greenbrier? If you do, then great! Right now, I'm in the process of starting a portrait box of figures that would be good additions to TAW, but whose brands I don't collect. The first additions to this portrait box are a frog and a lizard, both made by greenbrier. Does anyone want pictures of these for TAW? If so, then I'll set them aside. I have no idea just how I'll get the pictures taken, but this is a relatively new project, so it will take time. Just so you know, I found these figures at a little resale shop. It was only later that I was inspired with this portrait box idea. Well, it's not a true portrait box, because the figures involved will eventually be sent away. If this were a true portrait box, then there would be figures from my collection in there. At the moment, though, there's no easy way to just take pictures of my collection, so that portrait box will have to wait. In the meantime, I'll help out TAW wherever I can, and hopefully the information I provide will help all you editors out there. I'll be sure and keep you updated about what unwanted figure enter the portrait box. After I take pictures of these, well, I don't know what I'll do with them, but I'll figure out something.

| Subject: A look at carving Sat May 25, 2024 5:26 am | |
| Dear Sts Friends:
Well, since this the "general additions" thread for my collection, I thought I'd give you an update on the carving of my fictional creatures in the medium of driftwood. The update is: I need to develop my technique first, before I can work with the piece of wood I really want to carve. Otherwise, I might make mistakes, and that wouldn't be good at all. I already have in mind the fictional creature I want to set free. It is my version of a merhorse. This one has the front half of a horse, and the hindquarters of a seal. I have no idea what else I'll carve in the future, but in the meantime I need to practice. I also need to get more driftwood, so I can actually get more ideas of things and creatures to set free. Anyway, for now, this is the update. Also, I've thought about taking up sculpting, but that is yet another mystery that I need to investigate. Well, if anyone reads this post, keep in mind that the practice of carving could take a long time, but when I have something to show you, I'll show it. In the meantime, keep an eye on this topic for further developments.

| Subject: The tale of an ostrich with a broken leg. Sat May 25, 2024 7:58 am | |
| Dear Sts Friends:
Hi guys, hey, I was sorting through my bird boxes recently, when I noticed that one of my ostriches lost a leg. The ostrich in question is Schleich 14325. I'm thinking of repairing the figure, so the question is, will the glue called E-6000 work for repair this leg, or what? Just wondering. Generally, I keep figures for years, even if they do get broken or scratched. Now if a figure loses a head, then that's a problem, because I might have to re-order that model, but for now, I can do that. The figure that lost its head was a Papo king cobra, which I'll have to re-order at some point. Meanwhile, I'll see about fiximg that bird's leg. Hopefully my plan will work.

Today, I dug through a bunch of random stuff I had, and I found a little wooden rowboat. That boat ended up in my shell collection. As for other shell news, I'll be getting more new additions to my shell collection sometime soon. And from the lego corder of the world, really soon I'll be purchasing an adult lego elephant. Well, this is about it for new additions news, so I'll keep you informed if anything changes. The current total is now 4186, and rising.

Tonight, I went to a local resale shop, and bought some bags of rocks for my shell collection. These new additions certainly did change the overall total of my collection. Because of these new aeditions, the full total in my collection is now: 4588, and rising. No news about new models, but I'll be adding to my lego collection soon, so at least the collecting continues. Anyway, this is all the news there is, for now, so if anything changes, I'll keep you all informed.

| Dear Sts Friends:
Hey guys, I just wanted to let you all know that I've just ordered a bunch of lego sets and parts for my collection. This of course affects the full total of my collection as a whole. The news is good, though, really good, because at last, I'll be able to build the perfect lego house. Well, as perfect as it will get, anyway. As for how my models are doing, no news there, but I'll be placing a Safari order at some point, so there'll be more news soon. In the meantime, the total in my collection is now up to: 4763, and rising. I'm also going to Hobby Lobby next week, so we'll see what I find there.

| Dear Sts Friends:
Hey guys, what do you think of these Papo ideas? They could be made as part of their fantasy line.
Mermaid soldier, Mermaid knight, Mermaid king and or queen, Merhorse, New version of a crab mutant, and a dryad.
I know this topic is probably the wrong place to post this, but I was so inspired, that ... well ... what could I do? I just had to tell some one about these iddeas. By the way, I'll be getting some practice wood soon, so my journey to carving wood figures has begun. I'll keep you updated with the latest news on that project, as it unfolds. Another thing I'd like to try and experiment with is sculpting with clay. At this point, I would say my sculpting skills are like near nothing. Oh well, maybe some day I'll figure it all out. In the meantime, things are looking up for my collection as a whole. This is especially true for my lego collection. But that, my friends, has been explained in another post. Anyway, if anything changes, I'll keep you all informed. For now, this is the tail end of the news.

| Subject: News about: a certain lego skeleton horse. Wed Jun 12, 2024 6:09 pm | |
| Dear Sts Friends:
I went to Bricks and Minifigs today, and found more parts for my lego collection. Among these parts, there was a white skeleton horse, which I was on the hunt for. Either way, the total in my collection in general is slowly going up, although I'll have to reconfigure the math a bit, in order to find the real total. Oh well, there's still time to do that. Anyway, these lego additions are all the news I have, so if anything changes, I'll keep you all informed.
I hope you understand about the shortage of model news from my side. It's just that I can't focus on my lego collection and my figures at the same time. Anyway, even if there isn't any model news, I'll still keep you informed about the finds for the other facets of my figure collection in general.
Thanks for understanding,
Aschuck

| Dear Sts Friends:
Well, after some calculations, I've finally figured out the full total of my figure collection in general. And the total is: 4238, and rising.
No news in the realm of new additions, but as always, if anything changes, I'll keep you all informed. At this point, it's hard to tell when I'll be doing another ebay order of AAA things, but I'll see what I can do. Sorry if these posts seem boring. Maybe they do to you, but honestly, I'm just informing you all about the doings in my collection at large. Anyway, if anyone reads this, just know that I'm not trying to be boring. Far from it! It's actually sort of nice writing these posts, it's just that I have no model news. Well, I'll see what I can do about that.
Lately, I've mainly been telling stories with my lego collection, because as I've pointed out in another post, I can't focus on my legos and figures both at the same time. Either way, things are looking up, which is good.

| Subject: AAA jumbo dinosaurs I've seen Thu Jun 13, 2024 11:49 pm | |
| Dear Sts Friends: Tonight, I was doing a bit of window shopping on ebay, when I stumbled across a few items which might interest the various collectors of the AAA models on this forum. I've made a list of the information here, for those of you who are editing the AAA section on TAW: AAA Brachiosaurus jumbo 20" [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. (this info I got from the imex model website). AAA Pteranodon jumbo 18" [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (again, more useful information from imex). As for the listings I found on ebay, there were a whole bunch of them, but I took note about the ones that would be most useful for TAW. Here are the results of my search: AAA Monarch butterfly life cycle set. Found on ebay. Item number: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. And also there was a listing for a AAA 14-ich tiger figure. Well, this is all the information I could find for now. No real model news yet, but if anything changes, I'll keep you all informed. I hope this information is useful for TAW. Sincerely, Aschuck |

| Dear Sts Friends:
Hi guys, well, no real model news, but I'm curious to know who on this forum, besides me, has the largest AAA collection? I was just thinking I would ask this, because I just wanted to compare my AAA collection with other collectors. Well, if anyone has an answer to my question, let me know. At this point, I'm not sure when there will be more model news. It all depends on when I can order stuff from ebay again. However, in the meantime, I'll continue to keep you all informed about my finds.
Thanks so much for understanding,

| Dear Sts Friends:
Well, for those of you who have been following this thread, you might have noticed that there wasn't much here for model news. That's because there really wasn't much happening in my collection. I mean, things were happening, but the things that happened were mainly in another facet of my figure collection. Not so, my friends! Oh yeah, there's news again, and I'm excited! Today, I placed an order with Safari, and it will be coming in the mail. I can't wait to see that box! Basically, I ordered a bunch of the 2023 new models, some toobs, and some older stuff. So right now, the current total in my collection is: 4225, and rising. Well, if anything changes, in any part of my collection, I'll keep you all informed. For now, this is the tail end of the news.
Sincerely,

| Dear Sts Friends:
Hi guys, hey, has anyone else heard of this brand called U.S. Toy? how high quality are their figures? The reason why I ask is because I'm thinking of collecting these figures, but I've never seen any of them up close in hand, so at this point, I really don't know what I'm doing. Anyway, if some of you could help me with this, that would be great. In the meantime, I've heard that U.S. Toy products are sold at this website Collectible wildlife gifts. Does anyone else know about this place? I'll be ordering from them some time soon, and so I just wanted to know, has anyone else heard of them? Anyway, not much model news, except I'm still waiting for the new Safari order to arrive. Well, this is all the real news I have for now, so if anyone has answers to my questions, please reply to this topic. In the meantime, I'll keep you informed about the finds for my collection. The current total is: 4223, and rising.

| Dear Landrover,
Hi again, hey, would you and the others like to have a list posted of the lego animals that I have? Just wondering, because you showed interest in the toucan. Yes, it does exist, and yes, it is in my lego collection. I also have a lego red panda. Anyway, I'll post the list of lego animals that I have here some time, and you can see what you think. However, I can't show you pictures of these figures, so you'll have to rely on my list for now. If you want to look these animals up, bricklink.com is a good place to find out information about lego animals. You can also purchase lego animals there too. Well, I hope you like the list. I'll put it here at some point.
Sincerely,

| Dear Landrover,
Hey, in case you didn't know, the two lego elephants I have aren't really african or asian. I just named them that to differentiate between the two different versions. Also, I almost forgot to mention that on the list of animals I posted, some animals have multiple shapes or styles. Also, I do indeed have a lego tiger, and a lego mouse, although the mouse and the rat are two different shapes. I hope I'm making sense. It's too bad I can't take pictures of these, to show you what I mean by different shapes. Oh well, I guess that's what Bricklink is for. Check it out if you want.

Hey, I was just looking through my lego collection, and I realized that I have a lego river otter, as well as lego sea otters. Also, in a few days, dad and I will be placing an ebay order, and this is what we'll be ordering: it's a AAA monarch butterfly life cycle set. Has anyone else heard of this set before? If you have, I'd like to know, what do you think of this set? How many pieces does it have? Well, if anyone has answers to these questions, let me know.
