| I didn't know this figurine, very nice indeed. I think, it was one of the later coloured series, from which i don't own any of them... Marx made one coloured animals in the first place in the 1950's and 1960's. Here is the first Virginia Whitetail Deer [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]But they made so much more interesting models... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And that for the prude America of the 1950's and 1960's! _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

| Congratulation Andreas This deer is from the "Animal kingdom" serie. Those animals were sold individually in their own box. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Kiki, you have a great set of Marx Animal Kingdoms! Your boxes are in excellent condition. I have the Ibex, but the box is no where near as nice as yours. As soon as i get pictures, i'll offer it up for trade. _________________ carolynn

| And no comment on the ladies so far... And why actually, as they were already made in the 1950's in the USA! _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

| The ones in boxes are later models, but the earlier one-coloured models are more realistic! _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ooooo! that's beautiful! i agree with Willy that it's a repaint, but it's such an interesting style: it's like a two-dimensional painting on a three dimensional canvas! _________________ carolynn

| Yes Andreas, the old brands from the 1950's and 1960's in the USA are great sometimes! On this site you can eat your heart out, and spend some days there to see everything there, just keep clicking on the links, there are loads of models to be seen there, althoug mostly human figurines like soldiers and stuff like that. But you have to roam all of the pages, and then you find lots of animals to, which help you to determine the brands. http://toysoldierhq.com/ _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman
