It is the kind of figuere that i would immediately pick out in a bunch of old plastic-figueres, - it has SO much charm

I didn't know this figurine, very nice indeed.
I think, it was one of the later coloured series, from which i don't own any of them...

Marx made one coloured animals in the first place in the 1950's and 1960's.
Here is the first Virginia Whitetail Deer

Kiki, you have a great set of Marx Animal Kingdoms! Your boxes are in excellent condition. I have the Ibex, but the box is no where near as nice as yours. As soon as i get pictures, i'll offer it up for trade.

Congratulations Andreas for your nice figure! I also received some beautiful Marx from Carolyin! One of them is painted and came in a box, it is a mule deer! :reindeer:

The ones in boxes are later models, but the earlier one-coloured models are more realistic!

Well, that wolf doesn't look bad either, but i think it was re-painted.

ooooo! that's beautiful! i agree with Willy that it's a repaint, but it's such an interesting style: it's like a two-dimensional painting on a three dimensional canvas!

I see , the old (american) brands are very interesting for my species-collection. Better than any modern brands.

Yes Andreas, the old brands from the 1950's and 1960's in the USA are great sometimes!
On this site you can eat your heart out, and spend some days there to see everything there, just keep clicking on the links, there are loads of models to be seen there, althoug mostly human figurines like soldiers and stuff like that.
But you have to roam all of the pages, and then you find lots of animals to, which help you to determine the brands.
