I didn't know this figurine, very nice indeed.
I think, it was one of the later coloured series, from which i don't own any of them... Rolling Eyes Laughing

Marx made one coloured animals in the first place in the 1950's and 1960's.
Here is the first Virginia Whitetail Deer

But they made so much more interesting models... Laughing

And that for the prude America of the 1950's and 1960's! Shocked

Congratulation Andreas Very Happy

This deer is from the "Animal kingdom" serie. Those animals were sold individually in their own box.

Kiki, you have a great set of Marx Animal Kingdoms! Your boxes are in excellent condition. I have the Ibex, but the box is no where near as nice as yours. As soon as i get pictures, i'll offer it up for trade.

Well, that wolf doesn't look bad either, but i think it was re-painted.
Here are some of my one coloured models, they are in about the 1:25 scale:

Beaver

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Grizzly

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The shark came from these series

But there are more series, like farm, wildlife, circus and so on...

ooooo! that's beautiful! i agree with Willy that it's a repaint, but it's such an interesting style: it's like a two-dimensional painting on a three dimensional canvas!

Yes Andreas, the old brands from the 1950's and 1960's in the USA are great sometimes! Very Happy
On this site you can eat your heart out, and spend some days there to see everything there, just keep clicking on the links, there are loads of models to be seen there, althoug mostly human figurines like soldiers and stuff like that.
But you have to roam all of the pages, and then you find lots of animals to, which help you to determine the brands. Cool Shocked
