My MartinH Collection´s newcomers :)

Well... It´s a year now since I fell into deep waters of collecting again :) And I have to say... I got a little crazy with newcomers My 10 vitrines are overcrowded and I just can´t stop... It´s pretty serious I don´t want to brag here but showing how wonderful these models really are :) I hope you´ll enjoy it :)

Starting witj amazing models by Safari Ltd. and Schleich (Warthog, maned wolf,watusi bull and giant enteater) ... followed by some oldies (horses) by Papo. Fjord, Exmoore and Shetland pony.I found them in Zoo Olomouc and I was super happy about them :)

Yes, this kind of "collector fever" is very common among collectors. It is said also, that the real collector is never cured of it, which is of course also an advantage for the forum.

Next group are older Schleich models from Schleich´s golden era :) I Specially love this zebra. This is version 2 with stripes in reverse... Very special model for me:) And Ofcourse... giraffes! Moose is wonderful and Hannoverian mare is a sweet on top.

Mojo´s news are super awesome...I have to say... Giraffe is stunning.Take it fromme, because... her pose and her details (mostly the head) coloring... One of the best. African elephant is really surprising. Also crocodile, full of details and shetland foal is really cute. Mojo is climbing higher and higher. Papo´s giant panda with cub on her back is the most original and Bullyland´s panda are really great too. Safari Ltd.´s is little bit off with coloring but still good. And CollectA´s red panda is adorable :)

Because of your new Schleich oldies: I would have guessed, that you already have them in your collection. Have you also seen the new little Papo birds real in a shop ?

The Safari Ltd Warthog and maned wolf, the Mojo elephant are the jewelof teh crown for me

Oh, trust me...there is a lot of oldies I´m still looking for :) Pure collector´s hunting is still going on

How do you know, if you already have a figure ?
Do you have a document somewhere or do you just look in your showcases to see, if the figure is already there ?

Martin, I think the collector's bug is very hard to get rid of when first you have caught it

So many wonderful models have joined your -already enormous - collection.
Those old Schleich and old Papo models make my heart beat...it is just before I wished I didn't have them, so I could get them again

Post-birthday delivery... A batch of 16 beautiful models from the brands Papo and Mojo enriched my collection. An African elephant, a walrus, a Poitou donkey, a Provençal donkey with a foal, an alligator and a baribal bear... these models from Papo literally took my breath away. The details that you just don't see are the reason why this brand holds a premium for me. Hanoverian horse, Orlow trotter, two Friesian horses, Gypsy Vaner, highland cow, reindeer calf and a unique clouded leopard... these are models from the brand Mojo, and I have to say that Mojo has surpassed even Schleich in terms of quality, from whom I have a toucan on the branch.

When one person resists for 7-10 long years and thinks that dinosaurs are not really his thing, but somehow he can't resist those from Papo And then a Jurassic Park marathon is enough to put them in the basket... After unpacking, it is clear, that it's an investment you won't regret. The Brachiosaurus (giant model) is absolutely gorgeous and so is the Apatosaurus. All those visible muscles, the texture of the skin is incredibly detailed, the only thing that´s differnt from the official product photo is the Brachio´s color. But considering that this model was really inspired by the movie Jurassic Park, it looks very good even in this color combination. Apatosaurus is awesome. I think it´s the longest model from Papo they have ever made. Really majestic models. Papo shows off like an absolute master in dinos...

Beautiful newcomers I have the same problem. In 2-3 years my display cases will be full and due to space reasons, I cannot afford more. But as I know myself, I will definitely not stop collecting

Coming from you, a dedicated collector of giraffes, a praise to the Mojo giraffe is surely a good reason for me to stop avoiding it. I don't know if I will resist for so long to the Mojo alligator.
I'm not sure I get what you mean about the old Schleich zebra, do you have both versions to show a comparison?

Don´t resist too long I can say Mojo´s alligator is very well sculpted with great details :)

Yes, dinosaur models are very tempting. I also couldn't resist and get one last year. Although not a Papo but PNSO.

Cool to see the old Schleich zebra variation. It must be rare, no?

Thanks Martin, I have this Mojö crocodile and I really love this model. It is incredibly good. My uncertainty about Mojo Alligator is just because I'm quite happy with the fabulous Papo model and I have also the CollectA which is good. I think 2015 Schleich model is quite nice too and of course there is the huge Safari one. It is not being easy to narrow choices for each species these days because most of the newer models are very good. I think crocodilian figures improved a lot these last years. Thanks also for showing those zebra variations, One is almost the negative film of the other one. So interesting! Maybe the 2nd one works better for a Grant's zebra .
