| Two day ago, i had some Britains stuff coming in, very different stuff by the way... I had the 1972 catalogue, a set of farm-hurdles(5), and the same set mint and boxed. And a set of 3 white Britains fences, on which belongs the warning-shield that i found shortly ago. Now i am missing the brown fence, that has to close this fencing... The whole lot. 1717 Britains Farm Hurdles, from which one is missin, but i had the set already from my youth. here with box, which is rare of course, even marked as Herald Britains, which is quit old, end of the sixties. Britains 1972 Catalogue, one i was missing. My oldest one is from 1969. 1727 Britains Farm Fences in white, with the warning shield for the bull... _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

| Merci mon ami! It was of the missing catalogues in my Britains line... The fences are just accesoires, but maybe i need them one day for display or so, you never know... Yes, and those clothes, tell me about them, haha... I think you still wear them, haha. I was about 10 years old in that particular year, and living in Germany. Those bright colours or even flowers on your shirts...,with collars that sticked out to the side like antenna's, haha. A big belt with a lionhead on the front, around the throusers with pants, that went far outwards to the feet, which were covered in shoes or boots with plateau-soles, haha. But another thing i wore in that time, and the years after that, were Mexican boots, which are available still today and quit expensive around here, and i still wear them now and then, they rock! And lets not forget my all-time favourite disco-music! _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

| Last week and weekend, i had a few older Britains models coming in, partly for my friend Torben, and just a few for myself, which i want to show here: 2081 Britains deetail Shetland pony's. The lighter brown one was new for me, it is a set with the white one. The darker brown one, is a later version, made by Britains Ertl, after the take-over. 2101 Britains deetail Shirehorse in white, the colour that i was missing. Here together with his fellows, the 2 in the front are Britains, the 2 on the back are Britains Ertl, like the pony before. 2106 Britains deetail ridinghorse in darkbrown, again a colour that is was missing, i had the white one alreeady. Here is the white one. 2133 Britains deetail Cow grazing in brown and white, type 1, unfortunatly damaged, it is missing the tail. _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

| Thanks Philip, Harriet and Amy ! Yes, those old Britains are nice indeed. I love those little Shetlanders to Amy, they are qute! The white shire was missing in my collection always, and i was happy to stumble on him last week around here. The same way i found the brown and white grazing cow, which i had in black and white for 36 years already, haha. Britains changed their models a lot through the years, and from the 2133 grazing cow are at least 4 versions available. Here are some pics to see that: This is the first model, still made from a mould from Herald, a company which Britains took over in the 1950's or 1960's. I had this model in a Jersey cow version to, when i was young, but i traded it away i guess... Then this type came, the so called vintage version, available in black/white and brown/white, but i saw a very rare darkbrown version once to, it did cost 75 euro! This version was made from the late 1960's up to the late 1970's. Brown and white, hardly to find undamaged. This is the same one, as my newest one, only in black and white, made from the laste 1970's up to the 1990's, the so called deetail series. This version was the last one, before Britains went up into the Ertl company. This model is still made from the same mold by Britains Ertl, even the text is the same under the belly(Britains and year of production), only the word China is extra. The standing Britains cow, the bulls and calfs have a similar history in modelling to. _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

| Subject: Britains batches came in for Februari 2011... Sun Feb 13, 2011 9:11 pm | |
| Saturday was a day of packages again. Next to a lot of 2 Lineols, and a lot with Hausser- and Preiser Elastolin Figurines, i had this lot with horses, made by Britains, Timpo Toys and some Hong Kong made horses. Most of the Britains horses are not specially shown here, as they are for Torben. I think he has lots of Britains to show in the near future... Here are the pics of the last lot: The whole lot together. 2104 Britains deetail Draughthorse in white, which i had in black and darkbrown already. I did have a later Britains-Ertl version to, which is shown together with the original Britains on the next pics. The left one, is the original older Britains deetail model, which has holes in his side, to attach the cart. The right Britans-Ertl model which is still in production, doesn't have these holes, and is painted differently. Next are the Timpo Toys horses, in models i didn't have yet. As these are the black ones, my pics are a little bit dark, sorry for that. These horses were mostly used in sets with Cowboys, Indians, or as wild horses. Timpo Toys black horse 1. Timpo Toys black horse 2. Timpo Toys black horse 3. Next are models, made in Hong Kong in different colours that i had besides a few, and some riding horses, which are completely unknown to me. Hong Kong, and 1 China made models. The one in the middle is the new one. Hong Kong Draught horses, the one in the front is the newest one. Probably made in Hong Kong to, although not marked as so, this is a black riding horse in a nice model and position. Another black riding horse, i think, it was made in the USA in the 1950's or 1960's. _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

| Thanks guys! They are no Shires Harriet, because Britains made other models to be Shire-horses... I knew it, but i forget the breed that these horses should be.... You have to look around Susanne, then you can find all kinds of stuff, and sometimes there are very nice other collectors from France, Sweden, Germany, Portugal, England and Denmark that help you out with finding things... _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

| Subject: The second Britains Lot for Februari 2011 came in... Sun Feb 20, 2011 11:59 pm | |
| Last week, a divers lot came in, with Britains figurines, a Timpo toys, and some others. There were some for me, as some for torben, which he has to show by himself i think... Here is my stuff: 1334 Britains vintage Polarbearcub standing. I finally found this model i a good state, i had only some Hong Kong copies of it before. The blue base is the good one, but easy to change with the brown base, which should be on the same model as brown bear, but that one is very rare. 1342 Britains vintage Lionesses. The one in the front is new to me, as it is older as the model in the back, with slight different modelling from later years. Here they are together with 2 different colours of the Britains deetail Lionesses. 1344 Britains deetail Lioncubs in 2 colourversions. I found one darker version for Torben to. 1316 Britains vintage Indian Rhinocalfs. The one in the front is new to me, it is much darker as the one i had before in the back. Timpo Toys Alpine Ibex, very rare, and hard to find, by accident in this lot... _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman
