| The lioness with cubs is the 2019 lioness, 2018 lion cub and 2008 lion cub lying. An interesting fact about the set is that they are all white lions. _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ADAM [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] "Our planet is in crisis. The figures in the set are repainted to be white. You can check out the toy fair 2020 photos from a month or two ago to see this. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Subject: Eldrador Robots? Thu Apr 02, 2020 1:00 am | |
| Dear Sts Friends:
Well, I've been thinking about the four Eldrador Robots, and I was wondering, does anyone know what they look like? Are they holding any weapons? And what about these mini creatures that come with them? What are those? Anyway, if anyone has answers to any of these questions, then write me. Also planning on getting a bunch of Bayala stuff, since my queen has a magical preserve (note: I got that idea from the Fablehaven series by brandon Mull). Anyway, also planning on getting other eldrador stuff, as in, the Attack on ice fortress. Also, does anyone know what that set looks like? Anyway, if any one wants more info about my kingdom at large then write me.
As for new figures that I have right now, I have successfully found the Red Panda, Orca Calf, and the Rabbit and guinea pig hutch. Also found the flower unicorn foal.
Aschuck
P.S. Does anyone else have any ideas for a stable for their mythical creatures? The reason I ask is because I'm planning on making one for my kingdom. I figure, since it's sort of a magical preserve, then the creatures should have some where to live, Right? When the stable is complete, I'll show it to you. |

Otherwise, I found some official pictures but for the moment it's forbidden to put them here. Most of them have no weapon and they are not accompanied by miniature creatures. They are humanized animals and plants if I can say so. Complicated to describe them x'D _________________ My website:study: My YouTube [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] My Instagram ^^ |

Thanks Tessa! I hope you're doing well. Funny the tortoise home, I think I haven't noticed it earlier. |

| The Siamese should be that cat, isn't it, at least it is slightly more similar to a Siamese than the other two figures. Cuteness power on these dogs, the same leaning head on Chihuahua that we can find on white-tail fawn, donkey foal and a few more, huge eyes too. This is surely lovely but a completely different approach from what we are seeing on Safari Ltd dogs, for instance. Thanks Kostas, it is good to know which are the preferences of Schleich target. |

| I don't know if you have seen that competition in Schleich's site when it was taking place. These are supposed to be the replicas of the real animals that won the video contest there. Here are the prototypes: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| I am disappointed I missed it as I have many pets I could have entered to this competition. I really don't mean to offend anyone but they were just two dogs and a cat. They could have picked a chinchilla, a harlequin macaw perhaps or a breed of rabbit _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ADAM [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] "Our planet is in crisis. | Dogs and cats sell easily though. There are more dog and cat owners than tropical bird or exotic rabbit owners. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. Oh, you are so right! The dragons are the one place where Schleich pretty consistently beat Safari and everyone else, the original Antylar/Faraun/Nugur (the hatching one may be one of the best toy models ever) are the best toy manufacturer dragons bar none, and better than most figurine/sculpture collector market dragons too. Even the Eldrador diver dragon is pretty great. That new Antylar just looks cartoony and dumb, the Nugur is a terrible joke- it looks like a horribly drawn cartoon and is very ugly. For shame Schleich, you took two of the very best dragon models made and turned them into the two ugliest. Even the $1 dragons at the discount store are miles better than those two monstrosities!
On the plus side, I like the tortoise habitat, they were smart to choose the sorts of dogs that would work with a cutesy style... ... but please excuse me while I go wash my eyeballs with bleach to hopefully sear away away the horrible images. I hope those two things don't give me nightmares. Oh the humanity... You had me in stitches! To each their own, there are lots of people who buy their fantasy figures hence their focus and popularity. I have a handful of their old ones, I love their knights series and hope to collect them all, but those 3 original dragons Faraun, Antylar, and Nugur... I saved my first real job money for when I was 14. The adults were each 50$ (I dont remember the baby's...35$? 40$?) I had my mother drive an hour and a half to our "local" toy store to pick them up, and when I returned from my out of state job I was so elated to see them propped on my bed waiting for me! And now, that wonderful deep amethyst purple black beast and his ivory partner and little vulnerable baby have been reduced to this. I would have MUCH preferred they make up a new name and avoid the embarrassing confusion. The dogs may or may not end up on my shelves, the cats lately haven't been my taste. But the overall style does suit the dogs well, and I've said before this could be a niche that works well for them if they select proper animal species in the future. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Oh I never actually saw the figures and I was confused that you could see them and I couldn't. Now I see them, I dislike them a lot. The Shih Tzu looks like tar has been dropped into its eyes, the Chihuahua just looks weird and the Siamese cat looks nothing like its real life counterpart, not to mention its goofy face. _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ADAM [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] "Our planet is in crisis. | Dear Sts Friends:
Well, it's settled. I probably won't be getting the Schleich 2020 Antylar and Nugur. Based on the descriptions from everyone else, I agree with you completely. I've only seen the Antylar and Nugur figures once in my life, and the originals, which I saw, were beautiful. Sadly, I have mo idea how much the retired ones cost on ebay, so these might be another month's purchase. Anyway, I'm thinking about getting Safari's Fairy Dragon, because I've never had a dragon with two sets of wings before. By the way, the movie elves from Schleich are pretty interesting. The only one I didn't get was Marween, because I never liked her that much. The others looked cool though, and Ophira may be joining my collection at some point. Looks like I'll have to revise my schleich list. Oh well, at least I got something done. I also am no longer collecting Schleich unicorns. There's just something about them that I don't like. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's definitely something. For example, I bought the Flower unicorn foal, and didn't like the way it looked. It was the same with the decorated unicorn mare. Anyway, whatever Schleich is doing with their unicorns, it's not good. I do like their pegasus figures still, so that's a plus. Anyway, if anyone has any other news for Schleich fantasy then let me know. I wonder, though, if they'll be coming out with any more standing elves for 2021?

| I don't know if I find the chihuahua horribly cute or horribly... horrible? The cat is nice but does not look like a Siamese. The tortoises home set is really nice! Eyela and the sea horse is to die for (a sea-horse was on my Schleich wishlist!) The jungle creature look so cool! The new "Antylar" is beautiful but... What have they done to him? Like couldn't have they done a new dragon rather than completly redoing the older one? (Same goes for the and other Bayala Characters? I know it's for the children...) |
