| I am going to tinker at the main post now. I'll be doing this in bursts, so if you see the post half edited, know I am still working on it. _________________ Breyer: 66 Bullyland: 25 CollectA: 183 Papo: 82 Safari: 150 Mojo fun: 23 Playmobil: 117 Other: 288 ~ schleich count: 1222 ~ Total: 2156 My DeviantArt: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]My Twitter: @Tezzieh My Instagram: tessa.b.storm |

| When I started building a synoptic collection over the past year or so, I asked myself: 'what will I buy in 2019 that will have to be promptly replaced because a better example will come out in 2020'. Well, if that happens, it won't be a Schleich figure.
Their texture and paint are always nice, but why do most of them (wildlife and most domestic) have to have some anthropomorphized facial expressions. Uggh. [the tortoise isn't too bad though]

| Thank you for all the work! I for one appreciate it.
The dinosaurs get weirder and weirder looking to me every year. I sort of like the baryonyx, but I have to see it in person. The fire eagle is neat too, who knows, maybe it will make it's way home too. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | sorry for honesty but when I saw what schleich did for 2020 I don't know whether to laugh or cry wild animals are not so bad but also nothing special and in addition very little ,schleich goes to the bottom and I'm very sad, when I saw the list, I had great hope that I would see an attacking hyena and they give an old hyena with an old ostrich and I ask what it should be?the attacking lion's face is cool but the rest of the position is a failure, |

| Thanks Tessa for your dedication to Schleich thread! As probably I am getting not very used with Schleich horses, these look all familiar to me, if they were not announced as new, I could easily think they were previously released figures. Though, I think they look better now than when the braids wave started. The saddlebred is probably the most attractive to me even if it looks a lot like a Morgan. If the excuse of Schleich horses design is to turn them more appealing to children, take a look at the new CollectA Camarillo and tell me if it looks less appealing to children only because it is very well made. I find, among wildlife, three very interesting species, not new in toy shape but new for Schleich. The red panda, wombat and snow leopard. The wombat looks weird from this picture but I will surely take a look at and other two, although not spectacular, good enough for my collection. The reindeer looks like remastered from a white-tail buck figure, a good looking figure but quite far from what CollectA did with the woodland caribou. |

| The new models from Schleich look more like toys. I am very disappointed with the current production of Schleich. |

Undoubtfully, painting is important although I tend to pay more atention to sculpt, mainly when judging from official pictures once painting often differs greatly from what we see here. However, without wanting to contradict you, I'd love to read, on CollectA topic, what you think is wrong with the Camarillo painting. It is a pity that a company is not able of getting correctly the color of a horse that is pure white and not white/grey. |

| I'll get the domestic Shorthair cat and kitten set but unsure of everything else. I'll have to see the snow leopard in person. I'm not a fan of how they are doing the paws / toes on the big cats at the moment. They seem to be very square and flat? |

With a good paint you can even change cheap china toys to beautiful ones. ^^ |

I think you're right on that, at first I was a bit disappointed with the reindeer, it looked well made but a bit unrealistic, then I saw these pictures of young wild reindeer from Norway and it looks quite a good approach: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Dear Sts Friends:
Hey, is anyone besides myself wondering just what else Schleich has planned for the second half of 2020? Just wondering, because I have an idea, which probably will never be made in PVC, but still it's good.: It is an Ice Phoenix! Now is that cool or what? Just saying, if anyone seconds this idea, then let me know. After all, I just made it up in my mind, so ... well ... what can I say? Anyway, if anyone has any thoughts on this then let me know.
Aschuck
P.S. Today at a museum, I saw the Star Pegasus mare, the Moon Unicorn stallion, and the Decorated Alicorn Foal, and I'm planning on getting them. Also, I finally bought the Kraken King from Eldrador. |
