| Now I already got a Hydrotherosaurus this week, but I got one new addition that was meant for Christmas but it arrived late. I bought an entire set of Paleozoic knockoffs from Amazon that I took pictures of to showcase here. It is a set of 5, but I only bought it for two figures that I couldn’t find anywhere else. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here is a knockoff of Favorite’s Anomalocaris. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And here is a rendition of Favorite’s Opabinia. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Another Olenoides to my collection. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Since I have the original figure, I thought it would be nice to do a comparison photo (original is in the right). And now for the two figures who are the reason I bought this set. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The Acutiramus [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And the cephalaspis. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here is a link to the set if anyone wants to buy it: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]While I don’t have that many knockoffs in my collection, I have found that I am not as put off by knockoffs as other dinosaur collectors. 01.08.2021 _________________ “They were here before us and if we’re not careful, they’re going to be here after”-Ian Malcolm Also check out my collection here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Haydn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Update: I just requested a custom order from Patrick May of the Paleocasts Etsy shop. I have bought the trilobite cast set from him and they are great figures that look great on my shelf (my new shelf is coming soon in a new post). I requested for him to make a Haikouicthys. For a quick info segment, Haikouicthys ercaicunensis is an early chordate from the early Cambrian of China (possibly the earliest chordate). Haikouicthys has not been made in toy form yet, so I thought that it would be a good time to request a model from Paleocasts (and it doesn’t look like it will be appearing in this board game: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I requested that the figure be 3 inches long (but I also added that he can make it any size he wants). I hope this turns out. 01.09.2021 _________________ “They were here before us and if we’re not careful, they’re going to be here after”-Ian Malcolm Also check out my collection here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Haydn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I checked back and as it turns out a custom haikouicthys model would be too expensive for me. Patrick May sent me a message about the costs of the figure if he makes it and I realized it would be too costly. Well when all else fails I will just have to replace haikouicthys with Myllokunmingia. Myllokunmingia is an early chordate from about the same place and time as haikouicthys and it appears in this game: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Update: my dad just volunteered for to produce a custom haikouicthys (with my supervision). He will be buying the modeling clay for the haikouicthys today. 01.10.2021 _________________ “They were here before us and if we’re not careful, they’re going to be here after”-Ian Malcolm Also check out my collection here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Haydn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| Here is my most recent addition: PNSO’s 48 mini dinosaur set. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This is (I think) every Age of Dinosaurs mini from PNSO. They cost $7 to $9 individually, but this set has around $3 to $4 a piece. I have decided to only unbox 6 a day and see how that works. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I unboxed the Qianzhousaurus, Tianyulong, Yi Qi, Nemicolopterus, Guidraco, and Odontochelys. 01.12.2021 _________________ “They were here before us and if we’re not careful, they’re going to be here after”-Ian Malcolm Also check out my collection here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Haydn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| This will go on for about a week, and I have 42 creatures left to unbox. But this makes every day special, also I will get the Leanchoilia sometime between now and January 21. 01.12.2021

| I have a couple of their lovely minis (thanks Taylor!), and have thought about getting myself this set as a birthday present. I read that sometimes there are missing figures, so curious to see what you find! |

| My vitae Chiliantaisaurus just arrived. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here it is with my Vitae Sinraptor that I got from Christmas. The Sinraptor figure is bigger than my Chiliantaisaurus, but in reality it was the other way around. Sinraptor was 26 feet in real life, and the Chiliantaisaurus was 35 feet. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Also here is today’s usual PNSO haul. It does not disappoint. It has not one, not two, but three abelisaurs (Abelisaurus, Indosuchus, and Majungosaurus). Also here is an early version of a clay Haikouicthys I’m producing with my parents. It still has lots of work to add to it (like a fin) and I’m thinking about making more than one for a school of two or hopefully 3. I’m sure it will be complete by tomorrow. | I still have quite a bit to add. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]In this photo Haikouichthys has a thin fin that stretches from the back of the head to the bottom. Today I am going to finish it and maybe make some more. The figure is made out of clay. 01.15.2021 _________________ “They were here before us and if we’re not careful, they’re going to be here after”-Ian Malcolm Also check out my collection here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Haydn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| So today’s PNSO haul is here. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Wuerhosaurus, Olorotitan, Einosaurus, wait. It looks like my big Tuojiangosaurus has paid the minis a visit. There is a little Toujiangosaurus, Ampelosaurus (a Titanosaur), and a Proceratosaurus. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The Proceratosaurus is 1:40 scale which means I can showcase tyrannosaur evolution with my 1:40 Battat rex and my 1:40 human. They went through quite the change from the Late Jurassic to Late Cretaceous.

| OMG! I´m not a collector of prehistoric animals or dinosaurs, even that I have the typical figures that I got as a child. But seeing the evolution in the last 5 - 10 years is very impressing. There are so many wonderful figures presenting different species - species that I never heard about. In the past, we got every year Tyrannosaurus, Brachiosaurus and Triceratops. Now, there are infinite species available... Seeing those figures, I´m getting more and more exciting to start with some dinosaurs, too. But where to start? I already considered the CollectA miniatures. Such miniatures are a good opportunity for a collector like me, to stock more animal figures for his collection, even that dinosaurs are the most important focus. So seeing this box gets me really excited Congratulations! As TAW isn´t very completed concerning PSNO, may I ask the size of this figures? Which species are available in this size or in the box? Where can I got such a box and what is the price? Thank you! |

| The figures around around 3-4 inches (some are a bit longer and some are a bit shorter). There are 48 different figures and they are each different species. I bought it here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]There are some general species in juvenile form like a baby tyrannosaurus, triceratops, and Spinosaurus. There are also figures that have been made in bigger form like cryolophosaururs, baryonyx, and allosaurus. But I mainly bought the set for the figures that aren’t sold anywhere else like the Ectenosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Tianyulong, Abelisaurus, and plenty of different land, air, and water creatures I didn’t name. This set is also up to date, featuring species that were described in the 2010s that haven’t received much attention. And if you want to put any photos to the toy animal wiki of my figures (pnso or other brand) you can go right ahead. If you need photos for any creature in specific, just pm me and I will send a photo. 01.16.2021 _________________ “They were here before us and if we’re not careful, they’re going to be here after”-Ian Malcolm Also check out my collection here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Haydn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |
