| So while I was at the Exploreum, an exhibit for space exploration was under construction. They prepared a set of miniatures of space probes and it was a very interesting set of 8. When I looked at the packaging, I realized that these were Kaiyodo Capsule figures for the Royal Museum of Science (I assume somewhere in Japan....) The first box had a miniature earth and a base for it to stand on, and the second had a miniature moon with the same base. But in every other set, there was a strange black ball without a base. And each set had a famous physics equation written on the back. Apparently I’m missing the 5th set. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This exhibit is geared towards children, so I’m sure a lot of these will be given to very young children who might break the fragile models, so I have elected to put my set in the glass case. 03.03.2021 _________________ “They were here before us and if we’re not careful, they’re going to be here after”-Ian Malcolm Also check out my collection here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Haydn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| Interesting find this set dedicated to space exploration. But more exciting is to find a shop with Safari dinosaurs. I really love the triceratops, weren't there restaurants during the Maastrichtian? |

| I am now going to search for more TS Toys dinosaurs from their Walking with Dinosaurs series. Here are the two that I have. Polacanthus foxii, 1:25 scale, 17 feet, Early Cretaceous England [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Stegosaurus stenops, 1:30 scale, 21 feet, Late Jurassic North America [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I bring them up now because they have been in my collection for about a year at this point. I found these rarities for around 10 US dollars in an EBay listing. I am looking for more. The polacanthus is pretty accurate but the stegosaurus isn’t as accurate as the safari stegosaurus. The plates are red on my Stegosaurus from TS Toys, and we think that the stegosaurus would have flushed blood into its plates (maybe to scare off predators or to cool down the animal). 03.05.2021 _________________ “They were here before us and if we’re not careful, they’re going to be here after”-Ian Malcolm Also check out my collection here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Haydn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I have finally received my Cog Aysheaia figure. This was the hardest to find and the shipping was hard to wait, but now it is finally here! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Aysheaia pendundulata was a Cambrian worm found in the Burgess Shale. This figure is life size at 3 inches long.

| Ok so my little handbook about the coding language “Python” just arrived, and because we have Lucy, my resident Ball Python, I couldn’t resist a photo. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Also if you want me to, I will explain Lucy’s full backstory. 03.23.2021 _________________ “They were here before us and if we’re not careful, they’re going to be here after”-Ian Malcolm Also check out my collection here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Haydn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Today my second package from Brett arrived. From this seller: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Everyone meet [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]LEEDSICHTHYS PROBLEMATICUS: a 50 foot fish from the Late Jurassic. This figure is around 1:50 scale. The name means “problematic (reference to how it was hard to identify the fossils as a fish) Leed’s fish”. This figure was a little problematic at first because both fins were wrapped in plastic and separate from the body, but with a little bit of super glue, the fins came right on to stay. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here it is with a human (on the base) and the natural predator of Leedsichthys: a hungry Liopluerodon. 03.25.2021 _________________ “They were here before us and if we’re not careful, they’re going to be here after”-Ian Malcolm Also check out my collection here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Haydn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| And here we have yet another great figure. The Collecta 2020 Mapusaurus roseae. This great figure is around 1:50 scale. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Mapusaurus means “Mapuche lizard” after a tribe of Indians in South America. Mapusaurus was around 38 feet in length and would have traveled in packs to hunt the giant Argentinosaurus. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Argentinosaurus may have been a meal for a pack, but I think that a lone Mapusaurus may have hunted the occasional Amargasaurus. 03.26.2021 _________________ “They were here before us and if we’re not careful, they’re going to be here after”-Ian Malcolm Also check out my collection here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Haydn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| That fish is truly magnificent. Great models all! And your little scaly friend is beautiful too. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | They do look pretty similar, they are both in the Carnosauria infraorder. This may sound a little weird, but I’m right now building my own little dinosaur park in a Minecraft mod if you want to hear about my adventures. 03.27.2021 _________________ “They were here before us and if we’re not careful, they’re going to be here after”-Ian Malcolm Also check out my collection here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Haydn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I finally found my Safari Ltd Macrauchenia! The real creature lived in South America in the Pliocene era, and it died around 10,000 years ago. It was about 10 feet long, making this figure 1:40 scale. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here it is with my 1:40 Smilodon and Caribou.
