| More vintage Breyers arrived:) They all were won from Ebay, and it was a great battle, I would say:) I needed very few of them from this huge lot (18 pieces!), and it endid up costing like a Rose mini resin, but anyway I'm really happy All the night before the auction ended I was dreaming that I lost it, and it was kind of surprise when I realised that these horses are mine now. So, this is my grail:) Once I asked my friend what might be better than a blue roan Terrang, and she told me- :A palomino one". Now I got both and I believe that I have the best pieces in my collection:) Breyer Classic Terrang Mold by Maureen Love, discontinued[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Ambrosia [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Ten Gallon [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]They are adorable, really. | I realized that now I have all classic racehorses molds, and almost half of those colours I wanted (not the full conga, but most desirable). That's funny, but several years ago, when I just started collecting vintage molds and was looking for those Mustang colours I miss in my collection, I noticed those graceful race horses on IYB. They were from the same sculptor (Maureen Love), but seemed to be so graceful, so awesome. I was pretty sure they're impossible to find, and couldn't even dream of getting one to my collection, but decided to have a look on Ebay. And so I managed to find Seabiscuit (both in Swaps and Terrang molds), and War Admiral, and... Well, now I have them on my shelves and feel myself really happy every time I have a look at them :) Thery are my treasures, my... my presioussssss.. | So gorgeous! Congrats Daria I've just received one of those foals you have in several different colours, it's the chestnut coloured one. I saw them in your post here and by chance found one on eBay a few minutes later - thought she'd go perfectly with my Haflinger if she was repainted. It's so cute, I love her face. _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

| Some more Breyers:) This Breyer Stablemate Paso Fino came from Katty about a month ago, but I managed to take his photos only now. He's fantastic:) His name's Glimpse,as glimpse he is. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The other one's Breyer Classic Silky Sullivan Mold in Semi Glossy Peach Dun, Classic Racing Thoroughbreds Set, retired BreyerFest 2001 Tent Special (750 made)Unfortunately I failed to get the whole set (Kelso in palomino and Man'o'War in buckskin)- I lost them in the last minutes of the auction Anyway, this one's mine:) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]He has a pearl glimpse that you cannot find in other models, made on this mold. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Breyer Classic Halter and Blanket Kit, NIBNot a very rare horse on Swaps mold, but I wanted to get the whole Kit, NIB. And one day my dream came true:) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]A week later I even managed to make a halter and a blanket, though not completely satisfied with the result. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And the horse was named Blackfire:) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Breyer Breyerfest 2012 Tunbridge Wells Special Run (Cleveland Bay Mold in Bay Roan Sabino)I already have one Cleveland Bay (the original one),but I always wanted to get another one in some interesting colour. When I saw these BreyerFest models.. He's really cool! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I think he's even more intelligent without a mane:) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The last one's a Peter Stone Chip Barbados the Rearing Mustang (Special Run of 200 pieces, premiering at Equilocity-2012)[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]It's really funny how I got these two. When they were just introduced I had no spare money. Then the run was sold out. One day I lust opened stonehorses.com simply to have a look "what's new". I wasn't going to buy sth, but found these two in "While supplies last" section. There even was a discount on them! My friend also wanted Barbados, but she was offline, and I didn't know what to do. Wait until tomorrow? But they may be gone when I come back. Take only one? But y friend also wanted one for herself... So I sent her a link and added both of them to cart ("I may sell one later if she refuses!"), processed to checkout, but failed to pay because of a problem with PayPal website. The next morning my friend answered, that she would be glad to get one, but the link's empty, and all the Barbados Chips are sold out. However, I wrote to PS and they answered they got my order and waited for the payment! It was really a miracle! And so we got the last two Barbados Chips:) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]What I like about them is that they are really good detailed for such a small scale, and their eyes are painted:) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |
