| Thank you! Harriet, yes, he is. I thought about CMing him at first, but even OF he's so sweet! Several more Trads. Breyer Traditional Appaloosa Sport Horse in leopard appaloosa (Morganglanz mold). Old Breyer Appaloosas are so nice! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] And the saddle that goes with this model- those vintage Breyer saddles used to be much better than the modern ones [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Breyer Traditional Black Hand (Galiceño Mold) The funny thing with this horse is that almost all the vendors on Ebay named it 'Classic Mare', so I spent years trying to identify it:) But it's magnificent - even the dots are located in the right way- the way the hair on the horses' body grow. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Breyer Traditional Buttercup (Scratching Foal Mold) I never wanted to add this mold to my collection, but when I got this funny Appy- I couldn't part with him! | Thanks! And these are my classic size horses:) Breyer Classic Miniature Horse Set (2006-2008) LTD's Red Cloud & Magic Man's Grand Slam This funny little thing's going to be a pony for Mr.Bilbo Baggins:) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Then comes the new Morab mare. Strange foreleg, but I still like her anyway:) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Her size- to compare with the Hanoverian Stallion. BTW- he's also a newcomer:) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Bay Roan QH Stallion (Ariat mold). Such a sweet lad. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The two appaloosa foals on the Andalsian foal mold and a QH foal mold [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And this is a dominant white mesteno foal. You know, when I was a girl it was said that no white horses exist- only light grey. And a few years ago I found several articles about true white horses. That seemed to be a miracle. In old Celtic legends it's said that cattle of the Fairy Folk can be white. And the Anwynn Dogs are also white with red ears. And then I say that Breyer white colt:) I believe he has to do sth with the Fairy Folk:) And his name is Hvite- 'white' in Icelandic. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| And the last part for now. Classics by Maureen Love. I don't know why I'm so mad about these molds. I spent hours thinking about it, and I'm pretty sure now that they have sth to do with the first days of Model Horse Collecting. Some atmosphere, that I cannot experience now, because I was born too late, and the only thing I can do now is to read about those days, ask and listen and try to catch this feeling. And maybe try to find sth alike in or newborn Model Horse Collection in my country. Maybe Maureen Love horses will help me to do this. Mustang Stallion in Appaloosa colour variation. He even came with the NAN cards)) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Mustang Family QVC Special [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Manowar Mold- Tumbleweed. | Harriet, They are quite rare, AFAIK. At least the mare isn't seen on Ebay and MH$P very often.

| I've got lots of new additions for this thread, so I'll share the pics by packs. Let's start with the customs:) Dervish, CM Breyer Classic Arabian to Dark Bay, by Vivien the Dark (Russia)This guy has a rather tragic story, already mentioned [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. Things turned the way that I had to remake him completely, with washing away all the paint. After some time I asked my friend Vivian, who's customising the models to repaint him. The new Dervish differs much from the first version, and I'm not sure which variant I like more. I don't compare them, as these are two different characters. Before and after: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] CM Etched Breyer Classic Silky Sullivan by Lindy PinkhamThis stallion allowed to grab him only after a year of hunting:) I'm a fan of Pinkham's works, etchies and appaloosas) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Full Circle, CM Breyer Classic Terrang by K.MoodyUnexpected addition. Awesome vintage piece (manchado?), but needs mending. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Ratonhnhaké:ton, CM Breyer Classic Manowar by BHRI'm really happy I was able to add one of BHR customs to my collection. And it's a pitty Breyer never released Manowar mold in this color in OF. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Winterspring, CM Breyer Classic Mustang Stallion to Blue roan pinto, by Tom BainbridgeI've been dreaming about him for several years- right after I saw him on modelhorsegallery.info. And never thought he would be mine one day... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |
