| I could count 43 different not extinguished species, although some subspecies and variations clearly deserve additional models (white tiger, black panther, royal cheetah...etc). At the end I think the entire collection would be composed by something close to 50 models, from the great Siberian tiger (12.5 cm head2body length) to the smallest wild cats (about 2 cm). From these 50 -as you can see- I already have 24 old models, painted and unpainted, although most of them have to be refitted. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]At these time, I only can consider finished the smallest of all of them, the flat headed cat (Prionailurus planiceps), and the Canadian Lynx. So the current picture of the Cats family is this: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] - SUSANNE wrote:

The tiger is one of my first models and i can´t say which specie he is. I would say it is a Bengal one although it can be better considered a generic one. However, I don't think he can be transformed for my new project. Probably I will have to make a new one (more than one, in fact, for subspecies and variationes) Regarding the size, I think that my lion and my tiger are more or less of the same size, although the first is upright while the second is in an stalking posture. | Thank you for the photo They are both very nice :) I think, you can call the tiger a bengal :) And you are right..depends on the posture...they are same size :) |

Sure! It will be a pleasure What I plan to do is whenever a new model is ready to join the cat family I will open a new topic which include a walkaround of this model as I did with the Caracal replica. Right? |

However, as I said, most of them are old models I really don't like very much. That is the reason I planned to remake /refit them. Anyway I am going to start showing some old photos I already have...lets seeeee... |

| This is my old tiger, that you already know. The most significant problem whit him is that he has no fur at all and so it was difficult to paint in a proper way as Kosta has well taught us. He has also some other sculping problems to solve. I plan to remake it in an Bengal path... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| This is the Lion. Neither he has fur enough (apart from the mane). I am not very happy with his so static posture, although I would accept, but definitively I Think he has not a good finising (a little bit more "impresionist" Than I want now) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]" /> |

| I think both your lion and tiger are gorgeous, but I'm not a professional sculpter/painter/anatomist/etc. But I think you did a really great job on them! |
